Not very good hours to serve local community. Could easily be open to 6pm Winter/7.30pm Summer. Young staff member I came across needs to learn how to interact & engage with customers, i.e. actually act interested, & be helpful; not just stand there. Really important to create professional relationships with locals & regulars (I'm also in retail).
Just stopped by to grab a quick bite to eat on my way to Dunedin. Bit into the rice-bubble slice only for it to be stale and moulding… spent the rest of the drive gagging and trying not to throw up. Needless to say, will not be going back! (the lady seemed nice though)
Well, that was an experience I never want to repeat. Twelve customers crammed into the tiny store, with just 1 very VERY slow staff member who was in no rush whatsoever. I wasn't the only customer who was bewildered and also not the only one to leave without buying, just to get the hell out of there
Great coffee & food on way south of Dunedin. It is a farewell to city but also a welcome if you are heading north. Starting point for Rail Trail to Lawrence & beyond. ...also motels & camping ground. Picturesque!
Best Fried Chicken I’ve had ever. Crispy batter, moist chicken and brilliant seasoning. Decent strawberry milkshake on the side. Nice friendly service from the two schoolies working there.
Great store! Cathy is very friendly and helpful and love that they sell postage items especially during lockdown!
Friendly service, good coffee, reasonable quick food for people on the go. Handy to the lake
My partner went to purchase us coffees on Saturday and was talking to the staff member about our morning and some bad luck we had earlier on that day, they then gave him one of the coffees near on free! Such a kind gesture! We will definitely support this small business. Thank you.
Great convenience/general store that has bits and pieces you might need. It offers a lot of services and had delicious healthy food. They also serve coffee, ice cream pizza, and other baked goods. There are picnic tables outside or you can eat it at the lake front which is a few steps away from the store.
