On the plate at Cranky Chicken, the idea is coffee-and-cabinet and well executed. Cabinet bakes and slices round out the stop. Service stays present without fuss. Value feels fair for the spread. Portions are generous yet well judged.
Wow! What an absolutely fabulous place, the chicken was amazingly well cooked with a nice crunch and seasoning, I went with dumplings, buttered corn and seaweed rolls, every single thing was delicious, I cant reccomend it enough.
I really enjoy Korean food, and this place makes the experience even better. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing, with such a calm and quiet atmosphere that you can truly savor your meal in peace. Itβs the perfect spot to enjoy good food while unwinding.
The chicken was absolutely phenomenalβcrispy to perfection, with seasoning that was spot on. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and I couldnβt stop eating. Paired with a cold Korean Cass beer, it was the ultimate reminder that nothing beats the classic combo of chicken and beer. Honestly, it was the best food I had in Napier. Pure happiness on a plate. Iβd go back just for that chicken.
While I sat down for lunch, I noticed that a decent number of people came in and had to feel for the 2 workers trying to fill the orders as fast as they could, must be understaffed but I got my food within a decent time. - Honey butter chicken 8.4/10 It tasted slightly like butterscotch, which was quite nice. The other flavors were available, but this was a new one for me. Chicken fried well and had a bit of seasoning on top. Food was prepared very well. Very clean place and workers did a great job.
This is a good place but too expensive. And thus the low marks. 80$ for a kg of chicken is outrageous. Itβs not a Michelin star restaurant so Iβm not sure why so expensive. Although the food taste is good but certainly not for the price. worth visiting once. Try the small one. (They use tegal as per the owner so halal from that perspective) The pizza place next door is also good and definitely worth the try.
Best korean food in Hawke's Bay. Never had anything like Teobkoki was lost for words. The chicken platter was amazing with three different flavors. Service is very good and friendly staff good value for money.
Customer service is great including the food. I'm more of a chicken lover and the first time I went to Cranky Chicken, I loved it! Went even back again the same week. There are flavors which you can choose and the chicken is crispy! Flavourful in every bite.
I am from Korea and the taste is very similar to BBQ chicken, which is one of the famouse brands in Korea. Due to the inflation, the cost has increased in even Korea and also I had BBQ chicken in New york Korean town, which was about over USA$40 during biz trip..I got shcoked..Compare to that, it is still good price and the taste is too good. I love soy galic as best of best and Tteokbokki!! Two thumbs up!
Amazing food and amazing service! Love this restaurant! Beautiful plates and utensils, with pleasent surrounds. Cranky chicken KNOWS how to make deliciously crunchy chicken that is moist and full of flavour. Highly recommend getting the platter so you can try multiple flavors in 1 sitting! Now my favourite restaurant in Hastings!
