Pitstop always helps the minute you need it. Huge thanks everyone. I just came in at 5.00 on a Friday with a broken brake light. They fixed it immediately. They are so good and helpful always.
I'm not saying dont come here - but my first experience with this place will definitely be my last. My usual mechanic was fully booked so instead of waiting, I went here for my WOF - the customer service...well there isn't any, lack of communication and failing to inform myself of ALL the problems as to why my car failed its WOF. First it was my tyres, ok thats fine, so I get 4 new tyres, went to rebook and was told that they also 'forgot' to inform me that the exhaust had a crack and needed fixing as well - I get it welded up by my usual mechanic and rebooked in to Pit Stop again. Go to collect my car and the girl at the counter spots me and takes off running out the back and Im left standing at the counter unattended for what felt like forever. A mechanic comes out and said it failed its WOF again, due to a crack in the manifold - I argued the fact I was only told about the tyres and an 'exhaust crack' he says 'yes' this is the crack, being a non mechanically minded female without the gift of ESP how the heck was I to know the crack he was referring to was at the 'manifold' end of the exhaust system!!! I just assumed he was talking about the other end of the exhaust, which funny enough also turned out to have a crack in it! I'm so annoyed at being inconvenienced and having to go back and forwards that Ive booked my car back to STICHBURYS at least they know how to communicate and do a thorough job 1st time round!! - My advice is learn to communicate effectively to your customers and at the very least, phone them when their car is ready to be collected!
Would not recommend this place at all. My ute was finally ready to be picked up from Pitstop Hastings on the Friday. Cost me $1750. Paid in full and was told that I would receive my invoice on the following Monday. Did not receive invoice on Monday. Was important to receive this as I did not know exactly what work had been completed on my ute. Called on Tuesday to tell them I had not received invoice and that my ute still had the same issue that I took it in for. Was told that I would receive by the end of that day. Still nothing. Phoned again on the Friday that week and was told they think they have an IT issue as to why I didn't receive the invoice and that they would call back later on that day to tell me exactly what work was carried out on my ute. That didn't happen either so still waiting for an invoice to see what work was done on my ute over one week later.
