I don't understand all the reviews , my experience with them was great.Towed my car there early Monday 8 Dec 25 morning it was ready for pik up Tuesday after work, I broke down on highway 51 on my way to hastings just whole car turned off peak hour traffic. My car was running on 2 cylinders should've been running on 4 also had some other issues , I asked for a quote, got a quote, and a breakdown of everything the mechanics done . Though they didn't call me when they said they would I called them Monday afternoon for a confirmation on what the problem was. The reception lady was good you know a Lil attitudey over the phone but hey helps build character she was good. Didnt mind my fixed car was parked at the warehouse car park at all have you seen how many cars they have in the back alot.only less than 50 steps from their front door to my car no sweat broken Overall Fast and effective experience and service. Thanks guys would definitely recommend them atleast sus them out for yourselves.

Very happy with the service received - we have a European EV so we were concerned that workshops here would not be able to sort it out. But Murray was able to diagnose and fix the electrical issues.

I would give this garage no stars if I could. Took my car in to be fixed may due to engine light being on, Picked up in August and engine light comes back on less than 24 hours having it home. I do not recommend anybody go to this place, Communication absolutely terrible, I will be taking my car to VTNZ when I get it back this time and checking they fixed everything listed. This was a winz quote and paid for upfront. Absolutely disgusting service. 20/08/2025 having my car picked up for the second time and now I'm being told there is another issue which needs paying for and it's the pcv valve. These guys cannot say they were unaware of this the whole 3 months they had my vehicle, I have filled out court papers because this is where everything will be sorted. I'll be damned if I'm paying any more money to this dodgy outfit.

3 days from disaster to joy and we are back on the road after our motorhome blew the clutch. Murray towed us in on Sunday and sent us on our way on Wednesday. Service was magnificent and costs were less than expected. Couldn't speak highly enough of this business.

I dropped my battery off to be tested and charged. I rang up the next morning through the workshop line as i have had several occasions with this office lady being extremely rude. I rang to see if it was still kicking and had been fully charged. Unfortunately the same rude lady picked up the phone during their smoko break and said she couldn't possibly go to ask someone to check it because it would "take too long and I would have to be left on hold". So why can't you just call me back? I expressed I was at work in napier and didn't want to make several trips but she was concisent on saying, " well your gonna have to be coming in anyways so I don't see the problem". Long story short, I would never ever recommend this mechanic as the first point of contact is a terrible lazy rude lady who drives people away from business. I went in after to pick up the battery and had great customer service from a mechanic. Another office lady called Denise, who served me and was very polite and thanked me and wished me a lovely day. Guess it's just a luck of the draw who answers the phone.

We brought our car in for a WOF & Service. This was our 4th time using their services & in previous encounters I have had a lovely experience with one particular Mechanic Murray who has always been great to deal with. But unfortunately this time we had a terrible experienceβ¦we were told a few minor things needed done after taking the car in for a WOF & Service & my husband gave the go ahead to get them done but failed to ask for a quote (which we will never do again! Always ask for a quote). Anyway, I budgeted roughly $400 max for WOF & service & then another $600 MAX for the extra things which was break pads changed. Nek minute My husband arrived (with a very unsettled baby) to pick up the car & we were billed $1,199!!! Was very shocked with that priceβ¦ unfortunately we only had $1000 in our account available & my husbandβs pay wasnβt coming through until the next day so he asked if he could pay $1000 & come back to pay the rest of the $199 but the front desk lady refused to give him the keys & told him he MUST pay in full. Here my husband was stranded at the mechanics with a crying baby & a 3yr old that needed picking up from daycare! (We are a one car family) Plus myself who needed picking up from work & this admin lady refused to show any grace or kindness to us. We have been loyal customers in the past & have never had any issues paying previous bills that should be proof enough to trust that we would return to pay the remaining $199. We have another bank account that had funds in it but no card for it & even if we had transferred the money over to the other bank it wouldnβt have shown in that account until the next day. Even after explaining ourselves there was still no budging. It was an awful feeling to have been treated like we were criminals having our car detained from us because of a $199 debt. My work colleague thankfully had the same bank as us & was present during my phone interaction with my husband at the time & was able to bail us out. But wow, what an awful position to be placed in. We will never be returning & it makes me sad to give such a poor review after some good experiences. Especially in our current climate where money is tight & expenses are rising. We are good people who work hard, Iβm a nurse & we are trying our best! There should be some exceptions for people especially for loyal customers. Very disappointed.

I had my car there 3 times to fix an electrical wiring issue to which was still not fixed.They are disorganized and not as good as expected. I was told my expectations were too high from the owner. At $110 an hour plus gst I do expect they are good. I ended up taking car elsewhere and they fixed it first time. They found wires not connected properly from Ansin and Monteiths work, they had the car 3 times and still couldn't fix it, no wonder. They're either useless or scamming.
