   Popular ice cream place but not sure why it is hypes so much. Ice creams are very average and melt very quickly. They are served out of cardboard boxes in the fridge.

   I felt is expensive as the ice cream not so special as I thought but overall still taste good. Queue waiting wasn't that long move quite fast. The special about the ice cream it will be the waffle cone and the serve ice cream with cream as a part of choice.

   Last night at 2 minutes to 9pm (their closing time), myself, my wife and a another two friends of our arrived at this icecream parlour after having a lovely dinner at the Mount. The young girl (who claimed she was the manager) was out at the door shaking ouf the door carpet. We arrived with out car and parked infront of this unfriendly business. I hoped our and asked her if they were still open. Her response was: " Yes, another two minutes" with a big smile on her face. I called the other three waiting in the car to step out and come and get an icecream quickly since we only had two minutes. Our friend who is in her sixties with a sore hip struggled her way out of the back seat of our topless (roof down) Peugoet. It wasn't easy for her. So we're at the door of the business and this girl smiles and says we cannot fone in because they are closed....with a big smile on her face. I asked her a few times whether she's joking. She said no still with a big smirky smile on her face. My friend asked her what her name was and she replied: " You don't need to know my name as it has nothing to do with you". I could not believe this. I kept asking her whether she was joking. We all stood there gobsmacked. How rude. We are all mature grown-up adults with respectful careers. I personally own a respectful business but certainly DO NOT treat my clients like this. My wife and friends also have highly skilled jobs dealing with the public. I will contact the owner of this icecream parlour but sadly I predict what will happen....since I have life experience. I fear the owner will protect and side with this young manager girl as he/she has employed her as the manager. This is the reason why I will post whereever i can our story about the badly behaved, unproffesionally, rude little girl. I am a very fair and reasonable person and do not take this behaviour lightly. Do not support this business. There is another icecream parlour just around the corner on the beach side of this place. And there are other at The Mount. Go and support these rather than Copenhagen Cones (who treat their clients with absolute disrespect...obviously business is doing too well) Thanks for reading my post. Bernard

   Everyone I've met in New Zealand is overly kind and friendly except at this ice cream place. The staff just scowl at everyone who walks in like they are terribly annoyed and inconvienced at our presence. (We've been 4 times now, same experience) The ice cream and waffle cones are great! Especially love the lemon cheesecake flavor. Their prices are also amazing. They just need some customer service training or something.

   As we approached the shop, the sweet smell of freshly made waffle cones immediately caught our attention. Inside, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. We chose the cookie dough and maple walnut flavors. Although tastings weren’t available, we were still very happy with our selections. The ice cream was pleasantly not too sweet, and the cones themselves were absolutely delicious.

   i ordered a small waffle cone for $6, ate half a scoop of it and then found a hair in it. I took it back— come completely intact— and they just gave me a single scoop in a cup when I obviously bought the waffle cone for the danish waffle. Didn’t let me have a refund or a half scoop in a cone etc. or even let me pay for a new waffle cone because I’d “eaten most of it” when the cone was almost full. I hate to write this review because the icecream and service was quite good!

   Came from a restaurant where the dessert menu was boring and expensive. Got this delight after a 5 minute wait. Kahlua kiss! Three flavours of ice cream (rec maple walnut!), Cream, nuts and Kahlua. Soooo good. Eaten on the beach at sunset. All for $11.50

   Fantastic and cheap price. Absolutely an ice cream legend. Have been there probably 100 times. The waffle cone is very popular, but I normally get a regular cone. Even just a kiddy cone is massive. There are many flavours, among which I pick the Mocha Fudge as the best. Maple Walnuts, Cinnamon Dough, Cookies and Cream, Salted Caramel flavours are also very yum. Perfect to have one for a beach walk.
