Very clean and similar to the new Christchurch stores. Great range of fruit, veges and baked goods but very expensive! The price for basics is way over the top.
Huge shoutout to the Bakery at New World Havelock that did a custom order cake for me and knocked it out of the park! Friendly service and quality baked goods!
This was the best new world I've been into ! The range was fabulous and felt very classy with their layout and greenery around. Loved the freshness of the place.
We were visiting Havelock North shopping for groceries to make dinner and discovered they have cooked roast meat, gravy and roast vegetables! Very reasonably priced. And the young man was so helpful. It was a lovely surprise...and in a supermarket! Check it out people. A new nicely appointed New World. Different location but still handy to town.
Lovely selection of clearance items on several occasions blocking the fire exit. Bought to managers attention on two occasions. Then received a trespass from the owner “for taking photos in the store”. No one else had seen these til that happened. Your staff have been messaging me. They are concerned for their safety, and highly embarrassed by your actions. Have a nice day.
Very organised and well maintained supermarket, nice location, heaps of parking, loundromart is next to it put clothes for drying and shop
Bought a long quiche from the bakery yesterday. Tasted yum but the pastry was quite raw, especially on the bottom. Probably shouldn't have eaten but was other side of Napier when we heated and cut it up. Paid the price with a sick stomach later in the day. Hopefully the bakery get this review and blind bake for longer before filling in future. Such a shame because otherwise I would have posted a 4 or 5 star review.
Can't wait until the new one is finished, this one is tied and really needs an update, but apart from that, it's clean and tidy and they have more self checkouts which help speed things up
As an intl student in the area, I had to go to this store for groceries. The variety of vegetables wasn't good - just the same kohlrabi, cabbage and broccoli over n over. Quite shocking. I am a vegetarian who does not eat rennet cheese and I must say the store didn't exactly offer me a huge variety. Maybe this is just due to NZs isolation from the world. Not sure if this is the case all over NZ. The cheeses were varied though and provided me some nutrition.
Have been in a few times and the customer service at checkouts is terrible! Also the girl at deli today was not the friendliest and had a bit of an attitude. Have to say the bakery goods are quite tasty and the team there have good customer service.
