   We received a 4-course cooking class and dinner as a wedding gift, and it was truly delightful. Malcolm was incredibly warm and hospitable, his passion for cooking shining through in every dish. He shared very useful knowledge and tips on cooking and food. The Mediterranean-inspired lodge offered a beautiful view of vineyards and hills from its balcony. My wife and I had an amazing experience. We highly recommend this place.

   Beautiful setting, lovely room with many thoughtful touches and a very comfortable bed. Malcom and Ellie were extremely attentive hosts and they really made our stay extra special. The food was wonderful and staying for dinner with matching wines is a must!

Make sure you don't miss Marcus' 5 course dinner with wine pairing. It's unbelievable! The best dinner I've had in Hawkes Bay. The attention to detail was impeccable. The flavours were exquisite. The hospitality was next level. If you ever get a chance to stay with Marcus and Ellie..do it! It will not be regretted.

   We visited as a family, loved it. Both Malcom & Ellie are so warm and welcoming. Plus Malcom is an amazing chef. The lodge is right on the edge of a vinyard and has great views. We are looking forward to going back.

   Tucked outside of the city of Napier is where the Lodge resides. It is decievingly large inside as well as the grounds outside. The views of the vineyards and distant country side are beautiful from every room. The rooms are spacious; individual bathrooms are lovely; service and food are fabulous. You will want your own car or rental to get into town. Even so it's well worth it. Peaceful; places around the lawns to hide away and read or write or meditate. Can't wait to come back!
