We have had cats from the SPCA for many years. We had lots our 18 year old boy and wanted to help out 2 more cats. The home feels better with the 2 girls we adopted. The staff were very helpful and provided lots of advice which was very important. Thank you very much. Would recommend the SPCA to anyone looking for a new family member.

Thanks Dunedin Team for choosing me to be a dog mum. The staff were so helpful and lovely. The dog I adopted was already house trained, fixed and most training done. I just tweaked it a little with one on one bonding. Would definitely adopt again in the future.

Dropped off blankets and news papers to keep the animals warm. Also reported a lost dog, they were very compassionate.

SPCA workers Sophia and her co worker RUDE disgusting service at the door. Took a stray cat away and kept insisting it was ours even when being told multiple times that it doesn’t live here and it’s a stray completely missed the majority of the cats injury’s which are very easy to notice the only injury they identified was it’s head Told us to contact them within 24 hours and when we called no answer told us they would call back within 24 hours took them 4 days to finally call back and they are still insisting that the cat is ours. Obviously their ears and eyes do not function or they just blatantly choose not to listen due to their ego.
After months of talking about getting a kitten we not only found the one right for us but we found two!! My partner wanted a fluffy black and white little man and i dreamed of having another ginger.... SPCA dunedin were amazing we told them we potentially wanted to take a bonded pair and they said they would keep us in mind. I remember seeing the boys gilbert and star ( now known as smokey(black) and bandit(ginger) on the website and my partner ringing as soon as we saw them and he said that the SPCA were just about to ring us! Guess it was meant to be. Thankyou team you gave us everything we had been missing.
