A very pleasant spot with room to spare. Great kitchen/lounge areas with comfortable quality fittings and furniture. Quiet location in the heart of Mt Maunganui with plenty of parking close by. Originally a retirement home, Seagulls is like a home away from home.
as we arrived there was this really friendly lady at the reception. she explained us how to use the really modern key system what made the stay feeling really safe, also we could leave our car in the main entrance. room was quite small, but we had a private bathroom. kitchen was always clean and tidy
Great place to stay and really clean. We used the double bedroom with ensuite.
We stayed here as a family of four and had booked thru booking.com for two rooms expecting them to be joined or at least next to each other. When we arrived I discovered that the rooms were at opposite ends of the hallway and both had a double bed. When the manager found out we had 2 children he managed to change the rooms so they were next to each other and 1 had 2 single beds for the children which was much appreciated. The place was warm quiet and clean. The only downside was the ceiling looked like it had multiple ruff repairs and the basin in our room had several cracks in it. We stayed here another time about 9 years ago and would stay there again.

Guys please do not go with advertising they do. Very poor parking space and management have attitude issues. Once you are there it's like a prison, no one can visit you even for 10 mins. I will never ever recommend anyone to go. Customer service is it's worst. If anyone doesn't believe this I have text message to prove how rude is management over there regarding parking issues and how they approach you. I usually stay in hotel every month but this kind of service anyone can least expect. If you going there then be prepared for a rude behavior from management.
Full hotel price for a small room with shared bathroom - little value for money. Cold premises, few shared bathrooms with a window that you cannot close and no hairdryer available. Our room smelled like old gym socks even after having windows open for three hours. Very clean though :)
Great location, cheapest accommation in the mount. Manager is friendly. Clean and tidy. No bed bugs! It is basic accommation where you just have a small room and the facilities are shared. Although you can upgrade to a room with a toilet and shower. I like the communal lounge and kitchen as it gives you opportunity to socialize with other guests. I will stay here again. Cheers!
Stayed here for a week end of 2021, absolutely loved it. Very peaceful, very calm environment and great facilities. Large open shared kitchen with everything you'd need to make meals. Large shared lounge room and dining area. Lots of outdoor seating. Stones throw from The Mount. Highly recommended.
