    Moving from overseas, the kaiāwhina that lead my floor was so supportive in helping me settle in. Lots of sports teams throughout the year helped me make lots of friends and establish myself as a part of the community. The cooked breakfast in the morning is always amazing and I am missing the food now.

    Meals and rooms were okay, I left uni after my first year which had a lot to do with this hall. Certainly one of the furthest from the university campus, meals were less than sub par (coming from a boarding house student of 5 years). Outreach to students within the hall was minimal and proceedings following a theft within the property was very very disappointing. This was back in 2016 but I am only seeing the importance of sharing with possible students now, hopefully there has been some changes! Although if you’re anything but a highly committed student then I really can’t recommend living this far away from campus during your first year of Otago socialisation - give your waitlists a chance as I wish I would have done.
