Such a cool, interactive museum! Great connection of old tech to the modern world, history of Napier, and kid- friendly displays. This museum could be twice the size, but they are doing great with what they have. Motor heads will appreciate the massive, working diesel generator and others, the crazy Tesla coil. Great especially for a rainy day or when you simply want to learn a bit.

What a great place! We spent nearly two hours there, and could've stayed longer if it weren't for other plans we'd made. We loved the wide range of exhibits, how interactive they were, and especially the demonstrations with the Tesla coil and the fullagar engine. It's especially cool that the museum is housed in the old power station. Our kids really liked being able to interact with the devices and making little notes on a typewriter. The team were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We'd definitely recommend to check it out!

I visited here with my 9 & 11 year old and would highly recommend for this age group (though mum had a great time also!) The fact that it is an interactive museum really captured the kids attention. We were here for around an hour and a half and could have stayed longer. Lovely helpful staff, a great mix of informative displays, a lot for the kids to get hands on and play with and get them thinking. Well worth the visit.

A fantastic, hands-on experience for all ages! We had such a great time at this museum. It was incredibly interactive with loads of fun things to do, and we learnt so much along the way. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was really well set upβ€”perfect for curious minds of all ages. It’s an especially great place for kids, and we can’t wait to come back when our baby is old enough to get involved too!

A very interactive little museum made for all ages. You can touch and play with a lot of the artefacts on display. Plenty of vintage gear like dial up phones, a working Tesla coil, pinball machine amongst other small things. Not as big as motat but for the price you could easily spend a good 45 mins there.

Excellent Museum, you could play with old dial phone, vacuum transport token, spring transport token system. You could touch and play with the display item. Don't miss the life experience of Nikola Tesla's Tesla Coil. It's amazing. A nice place to spend 2-3 hours. The Museum is running by a group of volunteers, no support from Council or government.
