I honestly couldn’t ask for a better hairdresser — Emma is always amazing! Every visit, she knows exactly what I need, and I walk out feeling fresh, confident, and totally looked after. She’s talented, consistent, and such a lovely person to spend time with. So grateful to have found her!
Janique is a talented hair stylist and I highly recommend her. She listens, works with your hair and my many requests! I have short hair and she does an excellent job cutting and colouring it :-)
At the start of the year I’d decided to do barber no more 2024 after noticing mates losing their hair and realising I was a similar age and that’s what happens to boys….it was only a matter of time before mine left me as well. 10 months in and my hair had developed significant curls. While I was happy to just shake it dry and operate the “muffin McLay” look from the Hairy Maclary series, Janique from Vertu helped choose a couple of La Biosthetique “Curl” products to give my dishevelled look a bit more style. With these and the Dermologica products from Miss Fox Aesthetics who share the salon, I now step out of the shower feeling brand new and smelling like a fresh fruit market on a hot summers day. 13/10 would recommend.
I loved the hair colour / highlights and all the treatments, my very damaged hair felt healthy again. But I was really disappointed with the hair cut. It felt like she spent few minutes cutting the ends straight which was not what I asked + there was very little communication. She offered to fix it after I called the next day, which I appreciated...but her being an hour late was a bit frustrating and the 2 minutes she spent fixing my hair didn't do much of a difference. I left frustrated and disappointed after spending a small fortune to treat myself.
I've been using Vertu for the past 18 months and have my hair done by Emma, one of the best cuts I've ever had. Moved to New Plymouth so only get back once in a while but can let my hair grow out in between appointments and it maintains a nice managable style which is a sign of a good stylist! Highly recommend :)

Skilled and passionate hairdressers. Brodie can transform you into a blonde goddess you give her your trust and time! Tastefully decorated and ambient premises. While you relax you will be treated with yummy herbal teas and delicious sweet treats. Highly recommend this exceptional salon.
