Thier chips and other fried food are hit or miss for me. Sometimes they're fantastic and other times just undercooked or too oily and the last 3 times I've ordered chips, burgers, etc they've given me the wring food (likely someone else's order). They're somewhat redeemed by having consistently nice Chinese food which they've not botched an order of for me yet. I definitely don't go here as much as I used to but it's a pretty safe bet when you're hankering for some good fried rice.

The new owners are making magic here. The Chinese food is delicious, chips are on point, and the fish batter is perfect. Lovely people and great service - so glad to have this as our β€˜local’.

New season bluff oysters are not cheap, I’m ok with that. As a lover of oysters I paid the premium price for the full sized oysters as giving in an option at the store window. They looked great. But we’re mostly undercooked batter. The size was definitely seconds not first. No flavour. Cannot recommend. Also forgot chips I paid for. Photo of batter left over.

We had a amazing meal of fish and chips, 2 blue cod, 2 onion sausages, 1 meat pattie and chips. Was just delicious and plenty of it, lovely service from the staff. Many thanks

Never had a takeaway so full that they couldn't put a lid on it, so that was rather amusing (and a great portion for the price!). Pork was very crispy and delicious but could have used a lot more sauce. Most places cook the meat in the sauce but this was just a drizzle. The rice given with it was fried rice so that was pretty nice

Got very sick after eating the crab stick. Had high expectations.

Went here last night on my way home...it was the only place open..they have a Chinese menu and a kiwi/western menu..I had ordered a couple of dishes off the Chinese menu..the food was really good with large portions and lots of veggies and meat...the guy running it was really nice and the prices are good, especially for the portion size and quality. Its a proper oldskool takeaway and I'll definitely order from there again...

Horrendous Chinese the fist time. Decided to give the a second chance, 1 hour wait for 2 beef burgers. I will never return.

Got a fish burger which was great, squid rings which were big and delicious and pretty good chips. Super fast, made in about 5mins
