   Stayed at the Scenic hotel as I do every month, and naturally enjoy the Grand Casino! Had an amazing time sitting at the casino bar in between games. Was served by the most friendly staff: Jared, Riley, Edwin ,Hendrix, Nate & Lilli. I wanted to insure I got everyone’s name as it was a top notch customer service experience. There was an incredibly rude customer who made a scene, and Jared specifically handled it with absolute professionalism! Even though I lost playing black jack I won the night with a great experience from a great staff! Highly recommend to stop in for drinks, food and friendly environment!

   The rating was 3 but after the rant about there rules I brought it to a 2. Do better and change with the times if you want people to come and gamble. This casino has a lovely interior and alot of space for tables and pokies for a city Dunedins size. But thats where the good stuff end. They're table displays are of a low standard where you cant see some of the table mins unless you get in everyone's way. There's not much space to walk behind other people as they play roulette, and blackjack which is right at the front. You cant gamble features on the machines. And biggest gripe is that this casinos still stuck in the 2000's with photo or filming rules. Cant even take a photo of the pokie your playing and send to your mates without them stopping you and telling you to delete. The casino needs to come into the future with how big influencer gambling is. The casino won't last if it doesnt.

   The meals are Fabulous, tasty and good size. Super attentive and Friendly staff. Pokie machines are fun to play. The decor is stunning and beautiful too.

   Unfortunately on this day the restaurant let us down. Our food arrived cold after a long wait and our table wasn't cleared although team members had walked past the table several time. I requested desert menus and only one was brought to our table of five. The restaurant manager was awesome and apologetic.

   A bit more finer dining than pub meals, roughly about same pricing as the pubs. Servings also smaller, but compliments to the chef the meal was very tasty nicely cooked and well presented. Atmosphere was a little more intimate setting with the casino right next door. Service was excellent.

   Staff are friendly, welcoming and always happy to assist. Access by stairs or lift, wheelchair accessible. Complimentary hot drinks (vending machine) or barista coffee at the bar. Food menu is limited but adequate. Meals very nice, mid price range. Plenty of gaming macines offer a variety of games, betting cost options and jackpots. Gaming tables include roulette and blackjack. Membership discounts and prize draws available.

   Free steak and dessert for the VIP The steak is much more better than other place. Dessert was a surprise. The only thing was the banana smoothie took so long, the waitress served the drink after all the food. Overall, fair enough.
