   I have been coming here for years, and a long time ago even worked here. I thought it was a good supermarket but over the past year or so I have noticed some very unpleasant staff being quite rude to customers. More recently I have noticed past 'use by' food has become more common, I have seen customers querying rotten looking food, I have had to return food myself, and even had what appeared to be glass in my Woolworths salad. For the latter when I expressed concern I was rebuffed with an angry 'what did I want them to do about it' and total disinterest combined with anger at me for daring to tell them about it. Following up by phone was difficult and when I handed back the 'glass' foreign object sample I had retrieved from my mouth the response was slow, and weeks later I am still awaiting the lab test of whether I consumed glass. I would expect Woolworth would be concerned about foreign objects in their food products, but I have been left with a strong sense that they really do not care, even when their customers health and safety are at risk. I am very disappointed with Woolworths and this Carlyle St Napier store in particular. Not recommended by me.

   My favorite shop I like it better than Napier Woolworths Supermarket will be back cause you have got a good selection of GF products that Napier Pak n save doesn't have and I will be buying most of my GF stuff from Carlyle Street Woolworths Napier from now on. You had rice flakes which will replace my normal porridge which I will be buying if I like them

   - Fresh produce. - Organic and keto foods present. - Healthy and nutritious rich options. The ginger shot and chia gut health (pictured) were my favorite ones. - Open 7 days a week from 7am - 10 pm.

   It looks a bit shabby on the outside, but I was blown away by the range of products, especially gluten free. There didn't appear to be any empty shelves which was great. Obviously short staffed on checkout - quite a wait.

   They are always rubbish on staffing at checkouts. I'd give higher points for that alone. Standing around with no where to purchase 3 items is ridiculous and all the other checkouts have queues of full trolleys and 5-6 per line.

   Nice to see that Countdown Carlyle still has the Metal Art Ltd Sanitizing stations promanitly displayed and stocked at the front of their store. The overall presentation of the store was clean and tidy, and the checkout operator was very friendly and knowledgeable. The national egg shortage is also currently hitting this store, however we were advised that daily deliveries were commencing again from tomorrow after the News day public holidays.
