Kippers West Takeaways favours a classic fish-and-chips line-up with clear, tidy flavours. Fish is cooked to a clean crunch and chips stay tidy. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Takeaway holds up well on the drive. Sweet‑and‑sour stays balanced and crisp.
Prices have gone up but quality has gone down. Chips, which were once brown and crunchy are now white and under-cooked. Last few potato fritters have been raw inside. It's a shame because we used to love Kippers.

Delicious, has the best battered fish in town in my opinion, the shop is spotlessly clean, its a pleasure to enter into the environment, polite, friendly A+++ Thank you!
Some of the best Chinese food in Hastings. Not greasy, they use a mix of fresh and frozen vegetables and they are always happy to add more vegetables if you ask which comes with extra cost but we Don't mind. We always ask for not cornflour or thickner.
Go here a lot for their fish and chips and also their sweet and sour pork is definitely a favorite especially when it has just been made so it still has the crunch to it and it's great buying a container and filling up your own as there's plenty to choose from well that's my own opinion though and I quite like them more than other places

Usually love this food but last night really upset! Spent $18 on a container of vege fried rice and drove all the way back to Havelock and found it was full of chicken! Absolutely caked with it. I am vegetarian, I can't eat it. By this time, I was exhausted and didn't want to drive all the way out and back again. Couldn't find a way to message the store directly. Only Kippers East on Facebook.
Rediculous prices. Made this review to price shame them. Crazy busy an average taste. Do not recommend for families. Not affordable at all. $15 for 2 pieces of fish an a full scoop of chips. Are you kidding me? Reduce your damn prices or get a cheaper supplier. Immediately
