About Us
Imperial Chinese Takeaways keeps things Chinese takeout and focused on flavour. Takeaway holds up well on the drive. Woks keep a quick pace and good sear. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Portions are generous yet well judged.

Absolute rip off. How are yous still in business. The look of these rubbish burgers. $7 for this disgusting fish burger. Tiny bit of lettuce which looks horrible. Also burger is flat. If I can figure out how to post photos I will. And the server looks scruffy as. Wish I took these back but I put them aside for later...after doing some business. Suprise. Nah dodgey food. Won't be back

Today, on Sunday, 17th November 2024, I had the displeasure of visiting Imperial Chinese Takeaways after a tiring five-day stint at Ata Rangi. In need of a quick meal near the hospital, I found myself hoping for convenience but was met with nothing short of disdain. Approaching the staff member mopping the floor, I simply requested a takeaway menu to allow my wife the choice to select her meal. However, instead of basic courtesy, I was met with a level of disrespect that made me feel lower than dirt. The treatment I received was not just unfriendly, it was dehumanizing. The utter lack of respect and terrible customer service showcased by this establishment is beyond comprehension. This experience was a stark reminder of the importance of basic human decency, something clearly absent in this place. I vow never to set foot in Imperial Chinese Takeaways again. My duty now is to ensure that every ear that crosses my path hears of the abysmal treatment I endured. No one deserves to be subjected to such subpar service, and I will not rest until this message is heard loud and clear.

It is so nice to find a takeaway that does a half and half ! 1/2 a combination Foo yong and a 1/2 lemon chicken turned out to be a good thing. Although I think I will still prefer a sweet and sour pork, there was absolutely nothing wrong with either of my choices. The food yong had chicken, beef and pork with a good selection of vegetables thrown in. The lemon chicken was tender and juice, cooked beautifully. Well worth the effort. It was also only an extra $3 ($19 instead of $16 ) for this combination.

3 years ago we bought the most beautiful Chinese & Fish & Chips, we returned 3 weeks ago and it was the worst!!! the Chinese was not fresh veg the Sweet & Sour was cooked in very old dirty Oil, the Fish & Chips were simply awful!!! the Fish was cooked in very old Oil and was brown in colour and the batter was saturated in Oil and the chips were absolute rubbish, sorry but our disappointment was horrific but the Seagulls at Cornwall Park fought over our wasted $$$$$ we won't ever return, I believe it has new owners??
