   I had the chance to visit twice over the weekend, on a busy Saturday at mid day for a family birthday and then again on a quieter Sunday morning for Brunch with my favourite cousins from Cambridge. Both times we were greeted and welcomed by the same host who also took our orders, sorry I never got her name, but she was awesome. The staff we interacted with were first class and interestingly flat out busy, or quiet, the level of service was consistent and wasn’t compromised. The meals, what can I say, they were first class, for presentation, quality and value. We have a lot of choice in Te Aroha but these meals and coffees were a cut above, along with the location and ambience which is second to none. Well done Teena, Richard and the team !

   The staff are fantastic. I would rate the service higher if I could, they create such a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Food was delicious. We got the avo smash and big breakfast and I wish we had taken photos of it but it was too good we got straight into eating. We will be back again and telling anyone who will listen! Thank you again to the whole team for such an amazing brunch.

   We were in Te Aroha visiting the hot pools and decided we wanted to go somewhere for lunch. I googled lunch stops, and this place popped up. It was such an amazing recommendation!! From the moment we arrived we were really impressed with the cafe/restaurant. The building itself is beautiful, and the dining area is so large and pretty. The tables are beautiful, solid wood, and the chairs are very comfy. We loved the atmosphere!! Straight away, the service was amazing. We were seated, served our drinks and and food within 20 minutes. They had a great kids menu with delicious options - the menu can be coloured on and has some fun activities too! Our meals were delicious - I highly recommend the chicken flat bread! I shared it with my mum, and it was a huge portion. The meal arrived fresh and hot, and the chicken was so tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and loved the flavors. We shared some deserts from the cabinet - and I can say the custard square was so yummy! Staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful! Would 1000% recommend coming here for lunch! It's a beautiful spot inside and outside.

   The manager was very rude and cannot cope with large parties. Rude to the guests and made snarky comments. I would definitely not go there again and will never recommend to others. You would think a polite large group of people spending a lot of money would of had good service.

   Great menu, lovely staff, delicious food. The Forge is consistently a great place to stop and enjoy wonderful food in a beautiful setting. The staff are really wonderful and the owner Treena is warm and welcoming, also she knows what great hospitality looks like and executes it so very well. Still fantastic.

   Delicious food, well presented and excellent service. Serving sized perfect for 3 courses and the deserts are great, recommend the cheesecake. It's not far off the 'main road, and worthy of the slight detour if your in the area. Highly recommended.
