Always delicious dumplings with yummy sauce & chilli sauce, the Chinese tea was nutty & mild & the service is excellent with generous refillings of the tea pot. It’s an extra treat to be able to sit in the beautiful ambience of The Tannery, such a relaxing way to enjoy the experience.
The meso soup was tasty. The mirrors on the wall create good atmosphere. Limited seating indoors, but plenty of seating outside the shop, but still indoors.
Pretty yum! Only funny thing is that it’s not exactly cheap for 4 x sui mai and dozen dumplings- you get disposable chopsticks and have to order at counter.
Dumpling Corner at The Tannery has genuinely surpassed every notion of what an impeccable dumpling experience should be. From the very first bite, my taste buds were treated to an explosion of rich, delightful flavors. The staff's warmth and friendliness were matched only by their efficiency in serving up the mouthwatering dishes. The impeccably clean and well-organized ambiance further contributed to the outstanding experience. In short, Dumpling Corner at The Tannery is the epitome of excellence - an establishment I wholeheartedly recommend.
With a continuous hail strom today and a freezy cold morning I was hanging around at the Tannery and I surely needed something warm to eat luckily my eyes fall upon this shop "Dumplings Corner" and without a second thought I ordered this tremendous "Chicken + Coriander Dumplings" that were cooked fresh from the scratch and I loved it they were big in size and with reasonable price, the chicken minced inside the dumplings was so juicy and flavorsome I thoroughly enjoyed eating in this cold weather. The Lady in the shop is super sweet she has that genuine happy face when she sees you entering her shop I was happy and felt more than welcome.☺
The best dumplings in Christchurch! And reasonably priced as far as dumplings are concerned. Excellent service too. A must try if at the Tannery, don’t be fooled if it doesn’t seem busy, just be glad you won’t have to wait too long for the dumplings. Recommend and have tried Pork and chive - fried Or steamed Chicken and corn - fried or steamed Vegetable - fried or steamed
This is my favourite dumpling place in Christchurch! The homemade dumplings are so fresh, crispy and delicious. The tea sets are very cute. And such a lovely setting in the Tannery with the beautiful ceiling. The service is always genuine and welcoming. So underrated!
