   Butter chicken was OK but the lamb marsala was in a glue like sauce and hot as hell even though we asked for mild - it had 6 small peices of meat in it . Beef korma was green in color, definitely didn't taste like any korma we've had before and again had 6 small peices of meat but tasted gross so we couldn't eat it. $64 wasted.

   Warning if you order mild this is the hottest mild butter chicken we've ever had! Everywhere else mild butter chicken is nice & creamy & not too spicy for children, this one was even too spicy for us adults. The naan bread was nice but thin & almost crunchy when it should be soft. Lovely butter chicken but unfortunately far too spicy, will continue to travel to kumars in paeroa for butter chicken.

   This is more of an informative review for my fellow Kiwis. Disclaimer : Long Post. April 24th 2024 - I went to place a gravy order and asked the manager what he will suggest in Chicken. He said try Punjabi Chicken. I ordered the same. I didn’t even look properly at their menu nor checked their Facebook page that the chicken is with bone (naive). Anyways, went home and my daughter had the food and when my turn came she said not eat as it has got Chicken Wings with skin (I am allergic to skin). I simply skipped the meal. April 25th 2024 - In the morning I was upset and wrote a review here describing the events but later during the day I thought why don’t I go and talk to them (biggest mistake I made). So I deleted the review and around 5:30 pm I went to see the manager (the same guy who suggested me the dish). His reaction was as he was pissed at me. No apology or onus of what they served me. When I confronted him about the skin and why it was not mentioned on the menu, his words and I quote “Do you think we will mention everything on the menu”. After that he simply excused stating he has some orders to fill and left me standing there. After about 5 minutes another gentleman came out and as I was about to explain and show him the pictures of the food, the manager came outside again and asked me to come back tomorrow as they are busy serving other clients and don’t have time for me. Before leaving I stated one line “I was here today to give you a constructive feedback, but looks like you don’t need one”. Before jumping the guns, I would like to inform you that I have eaten Indian cuisine across many nations in different continents. However, never ever I have been served “Chicken Wings, Nibbles and small Cubes in one gravy”. If a restaurant has mentioned chicken with bone it means leg, thigh or breast piece(s) (with bone) not the cheap alternatives like mentioned above. For some reason, if any restaurant uses the chicken with skin they will mention it on the menu. I am attaching the pictures to give you the reference of what kind of cheap chicken pieces were used in the gravy.

   Ordered butter chicken with plain nan. Disappointed with the taste. It almost tasted like store brought jars of buttered chicken with some added spices. Not creamy at all. It was still pretty hot for mild spice. Nan was very dry and flat. I Still recommend trying it for yourself incase it’s your style of taste but it was annoying paying $24 for a below average meal which I had high hopes for.

   I recently tried this new Indian takeaway, and I must say, it was disappointing. We spent $85 on curry (pictured), only to find that the containers were surprisingly light on curry, providing little value for money. I expected more, especially considering the price. I'll be sticking with the OG Morrisville indian restaurant.
