Open long hours with a good selection of food and drink. Very handy to have all this available without fighting town traffic so, overall, a handy convenience store.
I visited this dairy today to purchase a couple of drinks. As you walk in to the dairy there is a big photo on the outside wall of monster energy drinks. The sign advertises 2 drinks for $7, and clearly says "any 500ml monster can". I went into the shop and chose two monster drinks and went to pay. The shop owner tried to charge me $9.50 for two cans. I explained to him that the large sign clearly says they are two for $7, he said this is wrong and showed me the sign outside, saying it only relates to the white and black cans that are photographed. I pointed out it clearly says "any 500ml monster", to which he brushed off and said that it's not right... If you go to any other dairy or petrol station within Christchurch they are two for $7, which is the price that is most likely proposed by Monster. The fact he tried to charge me nearly $5 a can is outrageous and he is false advertising with the large sign out the front. He also said that this happens to people all the time. The owner either needs to take this sign down or actually stick to what the deal says.. which is clearly any two cans for $7. Why would the flavour of the monster can determine the price? Won't be going back.
They would be one of the top 5 dairies that do impressive ice cream scoops that I know of in Christchurch.

Best dairy in New Brighton by miles. Great lollie range, plenty of top ups to help avoid the supermarket, but most importantly friendly and welcoming. Thanks for being our best local. (:
Best dairy in New Brighton! They reopened last year and the new owners are super friendly, awesome community vibes like you don't get at most dairies. Plus scoop ice creams, excellent lolly mixes and good prices, what more could you ask for
