Great meat, fantastic staff. Weekly featured sausage flavors is nice and promotes some exploration of the different recipes.
Also friendly when I go, and happy to help if asked. Meat is always great, nice size chops and steaks.
Fabulous meats - I bought a roast scotch fillet and bones for a beef bone broth. We must support our independent butchers where we can get the cuts of meat we need for our recipes!
Recently had a lamb boned out and prepared for a spit. The team at Mootown meats were awesome, the lamb was rolled and stuffed to perfection. Will definately use them again and reccommend anyone else to as well.

As a mad keen hunting family we struggled to find consistency of product and price when it came to getting our small goods processed. Dealing with Graeme and his team changed all that. The drive from Rotorua is certainly worth it.
Graeme and the team are awesome. I get a few beasts processed and have tried many in the past. Stumbled upon them by fluke and now refuse to go anywhere else if i can help it. Sausages and minces are top notch and we get vac packed steaks.
Graeme and his team at Moo Town Meats are exceptional!! Always happy & friendly. I recently bought half a beast and the quality of the meat is next level compared to others I have previously bought. Packaged awesomely with clear labelling so you know whats what in the freezer. As always, the sausages are the bomb, as well as the meat patties, everything is!! You cant go wrong buying any cut of meat from this butcher! Highly recommended!
I go there every week for sausages and meat. Their steak and onion sausages are the best i have ever had, and i have eaten a lot of sausages. Their pre cooked sausages are great as well, but they never seem to have enough of them. Every year i order a xmas ham and the quality is far removed from supermarket or mass produced ham, its actually smoked, in a smoker, with actual smoke, not painted on. If i could give them 6 stars i would. Great place
