Poor service from jade and the stuff this morning. We use Resene for our painting and decorating business all around South island and have never had a service like today from a Resene team. Felt like she hated her job and is being forced to work. Very disappointed in this team.
My partner and I went to Resene Paints in Shirley on Saturday to buy paint for our bathroom reno. After a couple of minutes browsing we were greeted by Kirsty who helped us with our colour selection and gave us options to help us decide. She was so friendly and knowledgeable that we felt confident in our choices, and will certainly be recommending and returning to Resene Shirley next time we need paint.
walked into the shop and was greeted with a “hello how are you today hopefully keeping warm” as jade approached me she asked if I needed any help, however I knew what I was after but got confused with all the different sheens etc, she took me over to the board of options to choose your finish (no one has ever done that) and I got much more understanding of the different finishing coats. She was extremely helpful, bubbly and polite. Very easy to talk to. I had a budget of $84 she priced them up and worked out perfectly! I live in Rangiora and just so happened to be In Shirley BUT I will always make a trip into Shirley for my paint from now on. Haven’t come across customer service like that in a long time. Walked in to the Resene shop on Marshlands Rd in Shirley Christchurch to do a pick up, 2 employees were standing around while customers were looking at samples. I waited 10 mins at the counter without a "hi" or "can I help" or "someone will be out soon". Meanwhile, I started to look around for someone else and saw another employee sitting around the corner. I asked if I could have some help and she was so helpful. The 2 employees were rude and had no customer service. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience here - very helpful and knowledgeable staff who were friendly and approachable. Great to turn up during their October sale 33% off! Have used Resene paint before and it seems to last really well and a great range of colours too. Highly recommend! :)
We came in on a public holiday and were happy to see you guys were open. The young man and lady were very friendly and helpful. They gave my little girl some wallpaper off cuts for her doll house and a lollipop, she was very happy. Thank you
Everytime I go in there, they're so friendly and helpful. The managers customer service is so much more professional and warm than the Northwood store. I am always happy to drive further to shop at Shirley.
