Oak Eatery is a gem — great coffee, fresh tasty food, and a relaxed vibe perfect for brunch and a catch up. Friendly and speedy service. Located next to a park for the kids to burn off energy whilst you relax and enjoy the day.
Lovely location spoilt by music so loud inside and out we couldn’t have a conversation without shouting. My elderly guest couldn’t hear the server over the music. Very little choice in cabinet food. We were there at 12.30. Stuffed potatoes were nice but we only received one when tag in cabinet clearly said 2pcs. Had to ask for another. Staff were friendly. Sad to say we won’t be back again.
Probably one of the nicest cafes in the Waikato, not forgetting the North Island. They serve Supreme Coffee, as they live up to their standards. Sometimes a little wait for the coffee, yet it’s worth the wait. Service was great everyone smiling and very welcoming. Need to sell your T-shirts retail! Had the Scrambled Eggs on toast and it was incredibly delicious. Huge fan of the Kid friendly menu too. Plenty of options. Looked like one chef in the kitchen too and he was churning out quality dishes at speed Cabinet was clean and well presented. We had the Oreo Blondie it was divine! Clean interior, tables well kept and turned over speedily. Toilets spacious and clean Kids Playground outside too which is amazing to be able to have coffee and food in peace whilst the kids wipe themselves out! Can’t wait to come back
The location is brilliant especially if you’re road tripping to or from Auckland. Great stop for the kids because of the playground. The deck and modern architecture atmosphere make this feel like a premium location. The food is great with classics as well as some unusual dishes like the fried chicken waffle burger.
An awesome spot in Morrinsville! Lovely staff, great service. The menu really made me want to try everything. Portions are a healthy smaller size (if you are a big eater, you may want to order extras). The food was tasty, and lots of delicious options. Kids can play in the playground while you watch from the table. Thanks for a nice lunch!
Lovely location with a warm clean modern aesthetic interior, a great selection of cabinet food both savoury and sweet although perhaps slightly over priced. Could definitely do with a drinks menu so you know what you can choose from and to have prices displayed for these shouldn’t be too hard, found that they weren’t too busy but quite slow at bringing out drinks & these could have been hotter but great tasting coffee & I guess art will come in time, we also found that had to ask for sugar as wasn’t on the table but this was quickly supplied. Found that only some staff were wearing uniform would look very smart if they were all dressed similar. Good amount of parking & great for families to have a playground next door.
Beautiful spot, friendly genuine staff, best eggs bene I have ever had. Kids meals are bang on. Park added bonus. Clean, crisp and fab road trip detour.
It's a nice place, a new addition to our neighborhood. So, while we were having our morning walk, me and my husband decided to go for a coffee and sconces. There was no food in the cabinet. So, we ordered a waffle chicken burger with a bowl of fries. Chicken was undercooked, and no napkins were provided with the food and no sugar with the coffee. I hope they will improve with time
I've been there twice and I absolutely love the food, I love the atmosphere and the seating options. It's good that I live close to this cafe. It's a 5 from me!
Been twice now. Breakfast and lunch. Setting is nice and love the atmosphere. Staff is friendly. However, the food is expensive for what you get ($75 for 2 cold drinks and 2 small meals). Both occasions the meals were small and on both occasions we left unsatisfied. On both occasions the cabinet was near empty, what was there was the standard things you find in any cafe, no sweet slices or sweet stuff though. Food itself was okay, nothing to write home about. The drinks are all organic, which will suit a lot of people, but me and my parties wouldn’t mind just a normal soda drink (coke, Fanta, juice). Also, very disappointed they don’t serve iced chocolate or iced coffee with ice cream, personally that’s the only way to a proper iced drink. Place would be even better if it stayed open longer and offered cheese platters with a glass of wine, for those needing to unwind and catch up with friends after a busy day at work. Maybe thoughts for the future. All in all, I think a nice place like that can do better. Location is definitely its attraction point, wouldn’t go for the food or drinks.
