She has been a bit grumpy in the past but today she was all smiles. The home made won-tons made us drive from Kaiapoi again. Full of flavour and filling focussed rather than batter focussed. And they are so popular that they ran out at 6:20pm today
Generally really good food here. Chips are usually close to perfect. Reasonable portions. The Hawaiian burger is really good and made with proper raw beef mince
Amazing fish and chips! I was a bit worried when I saw the low rating but this place is great :) super crispy chips and a great jam donut. The basic fish was yummy as well. Paid $11 for a half scoop, fish and a jam donut which was plenty for my husband and I for early dinner/afternoon tea :)
So-So. Food is okay. Classic Lytt fish and chip shop. Great artwork. Be sure to support the local artist. However, the service is horrible, slow and they don’t know how to answer their phone. They also don’t open on time. Very hit and miss. Such a shame.
Really like the food from here, it is really tasty and always tastes really fresh. However the lady that is behind the counter always seems really disinterested in serving you and seems really impatient.
I ordered one meal set and I was a little worried if the amount of the meal is not enough. On the other hand, the meal was very enough for me and it tastes good. I didn’t try to eat fish and chips at here, but I would like to try at the next time :)
Hands down the best fish and chips ever. Fantastic meat patties and delicious fish. The batter is amazing. Well worth the drive over from CHCH city. Next time we are going to have the steak, eggs, chips and salad. Thank you for a fabulous feed.
The smallest portion of chips and the smallest breaded fish I've ever seen. This is 3 portions of chips. And look how tiny the fish is! More like a fish finger! And look the spring roll.
