   From the city's website, "Spanning five city blocks from Margaret Mahy Family Playground to Lichfield Street, this park is one of Christchurch's largest public spaces, making it a great venue to hold an outdoor event." It is today a passive park but it's next to the playground so there's that if you're looking to exercise your little ones. The park is in excellent condition with almost puttable short grass. Perfect for a picnic!

   Spend alot of time walking my doggo. Seeing people gather or just taking a break. 5 minutes walk from city centre. Close to all the Eateries. Shame people keep breaking glass though. Very dangerous for people and dogs. The local council needs to upkeep the gardens, lawns and edges. Starting to look a little shabby.

   It's got excellent hammocks and a gigantic mattress protected against the elements. A place in the city where you can have a comfortable snoze.

   Watched The Gentleman on the out door cinema, great little set up, food and alcohol on sale there, you can also get blankets for $5, take your own chair or select one of theirs when booking your tickets .

   Fantastic way to walk to work, plenty of room for pedestrians,cyclists,scooters etc. Good views of the ever changing city scape.
