   This is without a doubt the best property management agency in town! I can say this as both a former tenant and a current property owner. They are a perfect example of how an agency can respect and look after the best interests of both parties. I had a wonderful experience renting through them a few years ago, and I’m thrilled that Taylor, who used to manage that property I rented, is now looking after our own property. Taylor and her colleagues are just amazing, and we couldn't be more thankful to have them.

From the very beginning of our tenancy right through to the end, their team has been incredibly supportive, professional, and genuinely easy to deal with. Any time we had questions or concerns, they were quick to respond, helpful, and always made sure we felt looked after. Everything was handled smoothly, and we never encountered a single issue throughout our entire tenancy. Their communication, organisation, and friendliness really set them apart. We felt well-guided as first-time renters, and the whole process—moving in, living in the property, and eventually vacating—was completely stress-free thanks to their excellent service.    Wow, where to begin! As a group of university students fresh out of the halls, we had no idea what to expect from flatting, but Taylor from Real Property Management was able to support us and made the whole experience super easy and comfortable for us! She was always there to help us when we needed, and the communication was great to resolve any issues we had in a quick and comprehensive manner. The staff are all super friendly and open to help and give advice, which was really helpful as first-time renters. We will definitely be seeking out Real Property Management for our future flatting endeavours :)

   My experience with this property management company has been a nightmare as a landlord. They constantly pressured me to follow their “tenancy policy” with unreasonable requests. For example, they insisted I pay $100 to remove a few tiny weeds from my patio just to “meet standards.” Yet when the tenants damaged the same patio by parking their car on it, the agent offered no solution or accountability. From the start, I knew these tenants were not good, but the agent ignored my concerns. The tenants immediately began making ridiculous claims: hot water not working, noise from the ceiling, oven too slow, shower pressure too weak, not enough power outlets, etc. After hiring licensed plumbers and electricians at my expense, every system was confirmed to be working perfectly. Still, the agent kept pressuring me to arrange services and follow whatever the tenants demanded. To make things worse, the agent rushed tenant selection, refused to let me review the tenancy agreement before approval, and only collected three weeks’ bond instead of the four I requested. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. Even my neighbour has complained about these tenants — they park cars blocking the driveway, argue loudly, yell, and scream. My neighbour has even suggested I replace them because of the ongoing nuisance. This company claims to offer “high standards,” but instead they created stress, unnecessary costs, and enabled bad tenant behaviour. I cannot recommend their services to any landlord.

   I've been working with RPM for about 2 years to manage my property in Christchurch. Apart from typical duties such as rental appraisals and screening potential tenants, I have found Robyn's advice regarding maintenance of the house to be particularly valuable. With a limited budget, they have provided guidance on what tasks are worthwhile and which ones are not as crucial. Michael has also found a good tenant for the place. Since then, I have been mainly working with Taylor and Vanessa. They are very good communicator, inspections are always very well done. Issues are well presented and are dealt with in a timely manner at a reasonable cost.
