smooth experience, came for 3 window chips, got a whole new front window instead. They setteled it with my insurance without me having to say or do anything, easy as!
First time I've ever had to have a windscreen replaced. Even though the damage was incredibly small it was affecting my vision (sun would hit it then hit me, and was even worse at night since I have an astigmatism) and not to mention just plain distracting. Novus didn't think it was worth replacing and if they did it would take weeks for an appointment, smith and smith got me in within a couple days. Stacey replaced my window and was incredible! Was originally told on the phone it would be ready for pick up around 4.30, she had it done and ready to go by 2.30. It may not seem like a big deal to some people but I have autism and things like this really stress me out, smith and smith made the whole process insanely easy. Also their waiting area is very clean, couches are comfy AND free wifi. Also have two cafes close by that you could wait at.

Not satisfied with the service at this branch! Told them my car registration and they had confirmed they had ordered the glass. The side window glass arrived and I was called in for the service, however they claimed it was the “wrong glass” and we agreed for it to be installed temporarily and swapped for the new one when it arrived. After a week I was texted to say it would be an extra $223 on top of the 500$ already paid, non of this extra cost was mentioned at the time and is a huge disadvantage for a uni student on weekly allowances! Dissapointing service, lacking communication.
Deeply unsatisfied! Firstly we took our car in to get a chip repaired, but because a previous chip that was repaired by smith and smith was growing, we were told a new windscreen was needed. we waited for the new windscreen to arrive, smith and smith took out our old window tried to put in the new window and then realized they had ordered the wrong one, then they put the old windscreen back in and in the process badly cracked it in multiple places, and told us to come back in two weeks time. this was just before Easter! This was very upsetting to my wife. Today we went back again, they fitted the new window, but even to my untrained eye it is a rough job, but what is worse is the ceiling cover is now very loose and creased in places. I can easily get my fingers between the ceiling cover and the roof now. the cable for the built in microphone was hanging down too. My wife was told it was like that and they let her drive away, again super upset. only when I went back to complain did they tidy up the cables, by the technician repeat tried to tell us that the crease were already there and the loose ceiling is suppose to be like that and normal. stay away!
My wife took our car there and the job wasn't done properly. Just very unprofessional. Who is the expert here.
We have used them over the years for our company vehicles so had good expectations . Dropped the truck off for 130 appointment, told it would be ready around 3.30 , arrived at 330 to pick up. Truck was still sitting where i left it. Would strongly not recommend. Needless to say our business will go elsewhere in the future.
Excellent experience. I drove up to the door of the garage & a mechanic/technician took it over. About 40 mins later it was ready & I paid $99 to have the chip removed. I should add that I had told the bloke I wasn't in a hurry which was just as well cos a # of other customers arrived while I was there & the 3 employees were pretty busy. I spent my time on site in a clean, comfortable warm room with the days newspaper to keep me occupied.
Unfortunately I would not recommend. The team seem friendly enough but first visit they had the wrong windscreen so booked in again with a lengthy wait but this time there was rust when they took off the window so couldn’t install which is fair enough. After having the rust removed professionally I painfully booked a 3rd appointment with a 2 week wait and after bringing it in was told they won’t replace the windscreen as “I’d just painted over the rust”. But no worries, I’ve been in contact with the panel beaters who have said they can replace and I’ll never deal with s&s again
After being told it would take 2 weeks to get a new windscreen Took vehicle in to be told They ordered the wrong one and forgot to get a new rubber. Went elsewhere and got it Done in 2 days
