Save your time: don't go there. Tried to call, no one answer, been there, no one at the reception, asked a lady who lives there how can I contact the owner she said she don't know, of course. There are other places way better in Christchurch , I just tried this one because all other campsites were full on that day.

Beautiful place to stay, even nicer are the people who are there. From the owners to every permanent resident I met, everyone was friendly and helpful. I had a 10/10 flexible holiday experience and will be back

There is a sign for a dump station, but it is not public! They have forbidden us to dump even if we are willing to pay.

I stay there regularly due to work. I find there is no noise from nearby railway line. I've had no issues with anyone there, either staff or residents , have found them all to be very friendly. Enjoy my stay.

I would like to thank Carol for letting me come back I really like the camp and also what management has done for me. I have got some really good friends here and people stop for a talk and make sure that you are all good. If you have love motor sports or speedway racing this is the place to stay as the track is only 8 minutes away by car 20 minutes away if you walk

Hi writing a comment where do I start ring lovely Juanita hear Carol yelling in bkground just because we move site dirty showers mud everywhere ya stand and Chloe a resident thinks she can walk up to cars open door pointing fingers at people u can't park their in such a horrible manner when if she was polite about it their wouldn't have been a problem Carol when she's got it in for u everyday I got not a gud look at camping ground when I made sure my dog was in a secure area or something differenti do not recommend staying hear I'm taking legal action as it's come to this I didn't expect a horrible attitude of a 78 year old woman or harassment from Carol one of the managers like I said Carol see u in court the horrible stressful place I ve lived

Wow. This is the closest you will get to staying at a refugee camp. The old lady at check-in is rude and reluctant to be of help. She has paper around her, up to her eyeballs. She serves you through a small window, I assume to protector herself from the outside world. The camp is full of people on the benefit. There are no signs around telling you where the toilets, showers or even the kitchen is. Every motor camp we have stayed at has a camp map, signs to help guests and Wi-Fi. This camp has nothing. If it has Wi-Fi we were never offered the option nor could we see it available from our device. I was told the owners use the residents to do odd jobs for them and in return they would get a little bit of money deducted from their rent. If the owners go out one of the residents minds the front "window". Of course that person has no idea and the Indian gentleman that served me was out of a horror movie. We even saw a hearse and coffin leave the camp! Last evening the smell of pot was all around the place. I have never stayed in such a place in New Zealand. By 11am toilets had not been cleaned and I would be surprised if the owners do this. The web site states "Alpine Views". Well ... can't see any mountains. However the camp is positioned between SH1 with non-stop traffic and the main south railway line. Trains passing within 20 meters of our camp site so you can imagine how often you are woken in the night. The resident beside us told us not to park our vehicle where we were as "this is where we park". Did I mention the airport flight path? Right underneath it. Others I talked to suggested it was a "life style choice" to stay here. Not sure what kind of life this would be. However many of the permanent places were well kept and you could see there was some pride in the little patch the resident called home. I do see these type of places around in NZ but normally as a holiday location so people seem happy and jolly whereas when it is the full time home there was something depressing about it. We all have choices in life. And my choice is not to return here.

Lady at reception was friendly and helpful. Very good tv/dining room. Clean facilities. Happy to have stayed.
