Love the fresh fish and chips. The chunkys are delicious, crisp and salted well. The fish is fresh with a good portion and the batter is delicious.
34 dollars for one small bit of blue cod and soggy chips prebbleton fush is a joke and got the order wrong after telling him twice on a Monday quite as ,the chip shop in prebbleton puts fush to shame portion wise and getting basic instructions right.you wanna pay 34$ for one small fish and some fush prebbleton has got you covered. Never get my business again chip shop the place they weren't open tonight so had to go second tier. Bit wouldn't even call them that
I try hard to love Fush as they produce quality food but my last two visits have been chips and fish, not fish and chips. If it's weighed, don't count the chips. Taste is great and I don't care about the price; I want premium fish hanging off the plate with potato garnish. The last pieces I had were highly disappointing. I've honestly had larger pieces from a box of fish bites from the New World freezer section.
Got the gluten free fish burger and unfortunately the bun was like a rock and inedible. The amount of fish was less than half the small bun size and did not look like the photos on the website. Burgers’ Fuel and Wisconsin do good gluten free buns and would suggest Fush do some research to improve their ingredients and amount given. At $29.90 for the burger + chips I would have expected better.
Lovely welcome by 2 staff members last night, ordered a piece of blue cod for tea , it was fresh but for $13 it was no bigger than the palm of my hand, Lovely lemon and tartar sauce with it but the very small size let it down.
3rd time shopper here to be honest 2nd time round was average 1st experience amazing unsure about this place now pan fry fish and chips found our fish portion size was same as a chip would of been better if it was fresh but unfortunately that was not the case sorry about review but it's the truth.....
Overall a great experience… Ordered seafood chowder and snack FUSH last night and loved it! The chowder is the best i’ve had and the garlic bread that came with it was excellent. I also highly rate the beer battered fish here, i’ve forgotten what fish they use but it was delicious and nice thick pieces. I will be back.
I was really looking forward to eating from here as I love the work Fush do around te reo but my fish burger was so disappointing - the fish on it was about the size of two chicken nuggets - and that's a generous assessment. It didn't even cover half the bun base, forget what you see in the photo of a big fat fillet poking out of the bun! My daughter's chicken burger was tasty but honestly I've had better fish burgers for a quarter of the price- bought from Prebbleton.
We tried here for the first time tonight and are impressed. We had the chicken burgers and fries. The burger was amazing - much bigger and more filling than you get at the big name burger place. The chunky chips are also so good. We will be back to try the fish next time
