   I have just come home from a great day with Earth Scientist Dr Megan Balks on one of Greta's fabulous tours. We started in Hamilton with a brief explanation of New Zealand geological history, the Waikato Basin, the Waikato River and the impacts of the Taupo 132AD eruptions. We then drove through the Waikato and were shown many examples of evidence of this history, ending in Raglan. Once again, Greta has provided an exceptional day trip with her usual care and attention to detail. Thank you Greta and Megan. Anne D

   Absolutely the best experience you can have on a small group tour! Greta is a warm and caring person with a special skill for keeping everyone happy and entertained. Her knowledge of varied, sometimes unexpected, and always fascinating places to visit makes her trips very special, even if you have been to places before. I have just done a nine-day South Island trip, which included Greta taking us to see lupins growing around Lakes Tekapo and Pukaki and elsewhere, which Greta knew was a longtime dream of mine. I couldn’t be happier! I also loved the other sights and activities she arranged for us. The trip had great variety and Greta is spot-on at judging the pace her guests are comfortable with. I have also done a wonderful 8-day Northland trip with BikeHikeStay, and a day trip to see Siberian Huskies near Taupo. I thoroughly enjoyed both. I’m already signed up for another 8-day trip in February; that’s how good Greta’s trips are! Greta chooses excellent accommodation that is very comfortable but not too pricey, and meals choices are great too. Greta is a calm and safe driver and her van is very comfortable. I can’t fault Greta’s BikeHikeStay trips… which is exactly why I’m looking forward to doing more of them.

   Greta took the Cambridge Tramping Club to Whakatane so they could walk from Whakatane to Ohope then back again in a loop. For those of us not so fit, we went for a long walk along the beach and explored some of the route.

   What a great day out yesterday in Taupo. Greta, our hostess was wonderful, very customer-focused ensuring everyone had an amazing fun-packed day. We got to enjoy Aratiatia Dam's daily opening of the flood gates, Lava Glass, a picnic lunch by Lake Taupo, The Honey Shoppe, Wairekei Terraces and lastly a long soak in the hot pools. Will definitely be doing another tour soon!
