Good service and dining environment but food quality is so bad! The Cloudy Bay clams I found it’s so salty especially the sauce! My friend had market fish (salmon) and he tasted the dish very salty too.

We had a great dining experience at Market Place restaurant - the food is amazing especially Angus Beef Cheek, the BEST in CHCH! Staff are top notch, Kolisnyk & Regala!! Food was amazing and presented perfectly and the Indian boy that served me was amazing, excellent services and amazing recognition on wine. Definitely will be coming back and recommending the restaurant
At this price level, all the areas are under delivered. Poor performance in service, not attentive enough and lack of basic traning. Using breakfast setting for dinner.
Went for Christmas dinner - very disappointed in the presentation of the food. It was a buffet and the hot food was lukewarm at best. Poor selection. Meat was overcooked and dry. Staff were clearing tables of dishes and 1/2 drunk wine glasses while people were up getting their food! They even took a woman's handbag and put it behind the bar. Weird?! For the price the presentation, selection and service was less than average.
Food was just alright, nothing fantastic. The chef seems to be trying to make the salmon fusion with Chinese sauce. Comfortable and clean place though.
Really great service. My mother and I really enjoyed the experience. Vegan options are really nice. Great views over Victoria Park if you can get one of the good seats. The venue is on the first floor, accessible via stairs and the lifts.
