I brought a lamington and ginger bread cookie from this bakery. My cookie was soggy and soft and my lamington had MOLD on it. GREEN FUZZY MOLD. I paid $5 for that lamington. I am NOT happy. And the service was bad too, the workers looked like they did not want to be there.

It's hard to find a decent slice of fudge these days. So many corner bakeries seem to use the same recipe book and turn out bland, dry slices of various kinds to go along with sad pies and front-loaded sandwiches. This particular shop, however is a little bit different and it's a difference that counts. The fudge here is actually worth eating. The sandwiches and other things are pretty good too but it's the fudge that convinces me to make the trip.

Very unimpressed with the gradual but consistent decline of the quality of food from this bakery. Pies have almost got no filling in them. Club sandwiches lacking consistency . Too lazy to even put a slice of bread in to separate the two sandwiches, when approached about this she admitted it and re wrapped it and put back in. Just because they have rebranded as Te Kowhai Cafe, does not make them anybetter than the original. Give them a miss , if you want to try a amazing bakery. Head down to last roundabout towards wintec, truckstop Cafe.. absolutely amazing food everything.. consistently.

Good bakery with recently refurbished cabinets to make self service easier. Good range of hot and cold foods as well as drinks. They also make an all day breakfast to order.

Kia ora whanau, My darling and myself went in on a Saturday morning for a breakfast meal, my wife had Poached eggs on toast with extra bacon and I got scrambled eggs on toast with Sausage and bacon. It came out hot and the meals were amazing and well presented and you could tell it was cooked with love we would recommend them to anyone for a meal and prices were affordable. Awesome breakfast at an affordable cost...
