Never go to the bar/cafe. Food is highly overpriced and very VERY small serving sizes for the pasta that was $30+. The sea food pasta was supposed to come with squid but they replaced it with bacon and used the same sauce for the fettuccine and the sea food. There was one chef working and it was just very basic food for the price. Paid $14 for a wine that was only half full.

Stayed here for 2 nights last winter and absolutely loved the accommodations. Unfortunately, it rained for my entire stay, but we had a cabin on the lake and, even with the bad weather, the scenery was lovely. The location is a little out of the way, but the cabin itself was huge, so my family had lots of room to spread out. Would love to spend more time here in the summer.

Very beautiful lake view cottages, very nice resort. It has a hot spa, pool, chess, gym, and provides cycle/bikes also. Very cozy, clean and nice rooms, with all the facilities. The rooms are also very spacious. Very calm and ambient place. Definitely recommend by me if you are coming to Rotorua. It is 100% worth the price. It is idealistic first day if you are for even at night in Rotorua. The cottages a the lake front have very great views with a common, huge and open backyard. The cottage in which we stayed had included a well equipped kitchen and dining table. There was also an electric fireplace. At night, the views in backyard were very MAJESTIC and photogenic. Overall, the places of great value and a perfect place for a calm, quiet and peaceful weekend/holiday/stay.

Beautiful staff, so kind and friendly. We stayed in a tree bedroom, 7 of us all slept comfortably, including using the very comfortable fold out couch. Great amenities, kids love the warm pool and spa, also the tennis kept them busy. Shame bout the cafe not opened in the mornings.

A Hidden Treasure We had three (3) rooms over the weekend for all our family on the canal edge. The peace, bird life, water wrapped all around and service here is just amazing. Our family couldn't believe this treasure was here with so many facilities as well including the hot spa so perfect in winter. The icing on the cake was the big screen in the Restaurant on Saturday night so we all could watch the winning All Blacks.. superb A+ food and staff were top of the line, thank you.

We absolutely loved staying here. The resort had a definite Catskills vibe and it was close enough to do activities in Rotorua but far enough away that you didn't have to deal with the onslaught of tourists if you didn't want to. The accommodations were clean and had everything a whole family could need in a stay away from home. Do make sure to bring your own food as the kitchen is amply supplied and the on site restaurant has very limited hours.

We were in unit 58, so this is relevant to that unit. The beds were poor. All 4 of us had 2 poor night's sleep. The lounge area was good and they did have a flyscreen on one window to allow bug free fresh air. While it was great to have the washing machine and drier in the bathroom, the washing machine didn't spin very well and left the clothes too wet for the drier. The kitchen was well equipped, with dishwasher, oven, full fridge and adequate plates and cutlery.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The townhouse had everything we needed in the kitchen which was awesome. The resort itself was lovely, with ample parking, nice landscaping, fun activities like outdoor chess, swings, the pool, and tennis. I was very excited to be able to cook some BBQ food. It's a little out of the way of the town so you need to make a trip of it but it's an easy drive either direction around the lake. There are some small stores within walking distance (a bit of a longer walk but still doable). The restaurant seemed a bit expensive and had limited hours so we didn't try it. The only thing we were missing was a baby gate at the top of the stairs so we had to keep a watchful eye on our little ones.

Very nice resort. Service is great. Good location although 15 minutes from city. Units are slightly dated but still nice. Spa is too small for a resort this size, several times we went to use it and it was full. 2 or 3 more would be good. Or a larger hot pool.
