   My experience at this resort was just as amazing as the resort itself. The ambience is breathtaking with the view the resort holds. The staff was just fab. A special mention of Mr. Nikhil Sharma , who not only made the stay a memorable one but gave a homely vibe. The way he deals with the guests is just beyond any words would explain. I would like to thank him for this wonderful amd memorable experience.

   I have a mixed review about this resort. Some things I really loved and somethings that need updates. It’s Such a stunning place to stay at. Reading all the bad reviews i had second thoughts about staying here but after staying here I really enjoyed this place and I would definitely go back again. The service provided is 5 stars and the location is so nice. The resort itself could do with some updates as some of the things weren’t up to date. Like shower doors. Cupboard doors, cleaning around the sliding doors, broken windows and screens, the spa was not so clean but the overall cleanliness of the room is good , clean room, beds linen and towels. Absolutely beautiful lake. I’m in love with the outside sceneries. I’m craving to go back again but when it’s quieter season as it gets noisy if ur staying downstairs and can also hear noisy neighbours. Overall I will definitely go back to stay but I do hope the management sorts out the things that are broken or not clean!

   My stay at this hotel was wonderful! The room was good and clean, though not very well maintained. Overall, it was still a comfortable stay with decent service and value for money The staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The service was quick and efficient, making the whole experience stress-free. The location is convenient, and the overall atmosphere felt very pleasant. Definitely a great choice for anyone looking for comfort and good hospitality at a genuine price.

   Room was good but on our 3rd day they didn't change our linen and I saw an indian guy housekeeping and he didn't change our sheets and he just set it up again with the same old sheets but not well properly done,like when we come back in our room, we are so confused why he didn't change it into a new ones. But we really like Kim in the reception she is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as well as the indian waiter. Just a few bits that needs to clean more that needs steel wool to remove the dirt on the faucet on the sink in the bathroom but the good thing there's a heater on the floor when you stepped inside the bathroom and there's a bathub that you can open the slide window having a bath while watching television and the room has a very good view and has hot pool outside the corridor feels like 5star hotel. And the buffet is good as well but hopefully they will add some pork/beef in the menu and also coffee as well. All and all it is very good and it is the only resort that we visited in Rotorua that we really possibly to come back.

   WORST STAY! Came down from Auckland solo for some RnR from work. On check in at 4pm thought I would have a wine in the bar but was told it didn’t open until 6pm. After a relaxing twilight mud and mineral bath experience at Hells Gate (which is a must do!) I returned for an early night. Unfortunately right outside my ground floor room (122) are 2 really noisy air conditioning units that make it impossible to sleep. I turned my unit off in the hope it would help but it didn’t. I called reception and asked if someone can come and check the noise as it didn’t sound like it should be emitting this much noise. The units further down were relatively quiet. The man on the desk said he would check on it. 20 mins later I had not heard from anyone. I called again and he told me “I stood out in the hall and could hear anything” and wasn’t planning on calling me back. I asked to please be moved to another room of which he said there was not a single room available in the entire resort. Then he hung up on me. I called back and he said he had another room 2 doors down but there was no heating but could supply a small heater for me. As I write this - it is 1:30am and 2 degrees outside. I asked for a manager but he was off sick Do not book here. It is also very run down and in desperate need of some TLC. I’m sure it was a beautiful resort in its prime… but that is certainly no longer the case.

   Location is fantastic, being on the lake. Waking up you get to see the birds foraging around in the grass outside. The people working here were helpful and friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. Rooms were a little dated but had an old timey charm to them. The bathroom light was hanging out of the socket which I felt like might have been a safety issue. The water in the shower also randomly would go hotter and then colder and then back to what it was originally. Other than that no issues for the price.

   It's 15-20 minutes drive to the city center. Nice and quiet area. Rooms facing the lake and / or the garden. Friendly staff. Clean and big rooms. If the toilet can be upgraded, it will be a five-star accommodation.

   Room should have been decent to be honest. Mine had the front view of the lake.ruined the experience because I saw hair on the shower even before I got in. Same on the bed very disappointing. QA on the cleaning must not be very strict. Breakfast lunch and dinner was fairly decent. Service was great though and very accommodating staff. Will come back. Hopefully get a better room next time around.
