   “Above and beyond” are the words I would use to describe Daniel Prince. Came to the workshop with no appointment and he still made time for us. We were having problems with our van’s battery system: constant low voltage, fridge not cooling, barely any charge after driving for 3 hours… After careful inspection, Daniel quickly realized that our system was in a rather critical state and needed changing asap (as expected). He carefully explained what was wrong and what needed to be done. Realizing the emergency, Daniel went above and beyond to fit us in to his already busy schedule, and we couldn’t be more thankful for that. The result: we went from a crappy single multi-purpose battery with erratic wiring, crushed up against the start battery (and all its wires for good measure) to a proper dual-battery system complete with VSR, inverter, battery charger for campsites, house-to-start link switch in case of a flat battery, and battery monitor linked to the VictronConnect app so we can always keep an eye on voltage, energy consumption and state of charge. Now, everything works flawlessly, and we couldn’t be happier. Daniel explained all of the changes in great detail, and even made a quick video for us in case we forget. Furthermore, he has consistently and gladly answered any questions we’ve had since then. I could not have asked for a better experience. Given the amount of care, dedication and professionalism that was put into our van, and Daniel’s availability and reactiveness even after his intervention, I can safely recommend Tauranga RV & Marine electrical to anyone.

   If I could rate minus 10 I would. DO NOT TRUST DANIEL PRINCE FROM Tauranga RV & Marine Electrical with anything to do with solar for offgrid homes. It took Daniel from Sept 2024 to May 2025 to upgrade my solar system. Total $18k Our home on Motiti Island is open to all elements. In the 15 years of having solar, nothing has affected us. In recent winds, 2 panels flew off the roof and his framework fell apart. Daniels only good advice that morning was to turn the panels off at the main control. I never heard from Daniel for 4 days. His only interest was sending me replacement panels at my expense. He said I have a battery bank and a generator to get by. I got another company to restore my power and fix Daniel's mess. Daniel had removed my original panels and replaced them with old stock. He also removed the original steel framing and replaced with cheap aluminum frames. They weren't even secured to the panels or the roof properly. One of 6 panels wasn't even connected because the Solar Controller could only handle 5. He could have burnt my house down. My upgrade turned into a downgrade

   Daniel is fantastic We arrived in Tauranga marina with one motor not turning off. The motor then starting smoking with an electrical fire. Daniel fitted us into his busy schedule, starting work at 6:30am. He diagnosed and fixed our electrical problems in the most incredibly patient, friendly and efficient manner.
