   Ordered the seafood basket x 2 they came out majorly overcooked. When this was pointed out to staff, was told ‘some people like it like this’ well not is sorry. The place was not busy, in fact I think our part of 4 were the only patrons at the time. So no excuse

   Ok, here's the thing, don't confuse this place with The Local. They are amazing, but some people might have mistakenly given good reviews, confusing it with this place. Here is my experience: I ordered wine , a vegetarian burger, American burger and fries, it was totally disgusting food. They had just put together frozen food heated up in the microwave. I did not see an actual chef. Just the staff had put together a burger for me. Plus, the wine glass had lipstick marks on it. Yikes, I mean, are they not even washing the glasses. That's disgusting. Never ever recommend, worst place in Waehiki.

   Yeah the name of this place suits its personality because you should Escape it. The treatment of my friend was just disgusting, he was overcharged and then told he did not pay. Then to top it off his burger was half made not completed and just slapped together very poor service. Management have a talk with your team please.

   Rude, prejudice and maybe lowkey racist staff and poor customer service...tried to overcharge my friend $40 for a $26 meal. On top of that the food looked like it was microwaved and slapped together nothing like what I have seen in past reviews. Was a great location and venue but staff and services like this can truly ruin a business

   Came to waiheke for the day and every other place was packed out except this place. They were out on a few menu items so limited options. Burgers were average and fries were too oily for me. Nice outside area but quite messy if staff aren’t attending to tables. Toilets smelt like piss, had no toilet paper and no handwash jus sanitizer out at the front. Recommend it for drinks and the “vibes” in outside area but definitely not for cleanliness or food overall.

   Worst meal and service I’ve ever had, amazing view but was served my meal raw, and completely wrong sauces I had asked for spilling onto half the plate (I have allergies). When I went up to tell the staff my food was raw, they gave me a “sorry.” and blankly stared till I felt awkward enough to leave it. No refund or adequate apology was offered, (I didn’t bother asking for a new meal) truely appalled with that service.
