Twas two days before Christmas and all through the aisles, Boxes loaded on shelves brought holiday smiles. Fresh hams, new potatoes, kumara, mueslies Yogurt, milk, butter, fresh bread and cheese. Friendly staff look forward to see if Santa still flies!
After 20 years of living abroad & shopping back in Oto, the prices surprisingly are a lot cheaper than my local supermarket in Brisbane, Australia. Bigger variety & so much to choose from. Friendly kiwi service as always.
Woolworths Otorohanga been my local supermarket for 20 years and during this time had some interesting times. Been reading others reviews and it's very interesting reading. This store is small which others reviews had mentioned. As for products it does not stock all products as others store would have. I sometimes have to travel out of town to others woolworths stores to get actual product. The Bakery department Bakery area is a joke the shelves always empty I don't think this store have a permanently instore baker. Checkouts Its has now got self serve checkouts. Some checkouts operators are ok some of them can be friendly and some not so friendly and they don't often talk to me. I seen this store get extremely busy with only 2 check out operating. when it not busy all checkouts are operating. Online order/self lockers This store does have self lockers where you pick up your online orders, there is options to pick up your order instore which I have done in the past and sometime checkout operator have to temporarily closed their checkout and head back to store to get our orders so recommend if you placing an online order use self lockers located outside of store and you can't miss it. Future improvements Woolworths take note. if I was a store manager or store owner I would push the back wall (cleaning aisle) out few meters to make the store bit bigger and from where fire exits to check out would install windows to make store bit brighter.
Absolutely Love it they got a Great selection of things at Good prices, really yummy cakes at great prices to. I got really yum cake 1.1 kg for $32 for partners Bday today.. I always like to pop in on my way down home, we only have new world which doesn't always have what I want.! :( . Extra awesome popping in today for Me the checkout lady was someone I went to primary sch& I'd lost her nbr& now I have it again. Thanks Woolworths a A++ for service.
The only supermarket in town it's not big but sufficient. Went in on Sunday morning and the bakery was bare.
Clean and tidy with pleasant staff. Limited stock variety at high prices.
Just a normal grocery store but staff were helpful so good experience all round.
Generally good, but the lady Heather is very very rude and inconsiderate.
Could do with a bit more variety but can't complain being a small town.
We stopped by to grab some groceries on the way to National Park. The store is fairly large and does have a nice range of items. We were able to grab everything we needed to make dinner and snacks. There is a fair amount of parking and the back road connects onto McDonalds.
