Fabulous walk up the hill. Take your time the stairs are pretty steep but the view worth it. Wear sneakers.. not Jandals

Lovely trek up to the lookout with a scenic view up top. Quite steep. Short (1+ km up) with options to take various trails to extend your trek. MANY sheep with the corresponding sheep dung littering the trail … watch where you step!

Lovely hiking trails through farmland. It’s not the most gorgeous walk, but it’s very pleasant. The ocean views and views of pastoral land are just gorgeous.

I took a steady, slow pace and was rewarded all the way with amazing views. It will be fantastic when the native bush grows. Definitely recommend doing on a sunny winters day.

If you are looking for amazing views all over Mt and Tauranga and Te Puke too then this is for you. Depending on your fitness as to how you go ( even though we nearly died doing it and won't do again haha) It was worth it we stayed for the sunset a bit cloudy but definitely still amazing views , can be windy so be prepared.

My wife and my first visit here. It is a great location for a walk. It is steep but my wife and I found it quite easy, much easier than the Mount. The walk we did showed a time of 45 minutes one way, but we managed to get to the top in 28 minutes, and that was with several stops to take in the views and take some photos. It is nice to go somewhere where there are no dogs.

A beautiful walk, the view is well worth the effot to get there.

Amazing views from the top, but you have to work for it! Very steep for the first couple hundred metres - up to the first gate. I'm not very fit, but even the fitter-looking people were huffing and puffing with that bit. It is then still very much uphill, but not as brutal. Says 1.8km but felt a lot longer. About 3/4 of it you're looking towards Te Puke way, it's not till the last little bit where you can see the amazing Tauranga/Mount views. I went in the morning when it was sunny but still cool, which helped a lot. Track is well formed with gravel.

The hike starts off quite steep, so if you have a kid (like mine) who is unpredictable on hikes, be prepared for some tantrums when it gets too tough. There are benches along the way to rest, and they are located at apt points in order to sit down, take in the lovely views, and recharge your batteries. Honestly, Wellington offers better views, but this trail still makes for a nice, challenging hike that both young and old can enjoy. Feel free to take your mountain bike along if you so wish. Parking is quite ample, so you shouldn't have any issues with that.
