We have regularly used this cafe. Prices are up which is not surprising. My only real problem is that the toilet needs to be cleaned much better than it is! Smells unpleasant, dirty floor, dirty skirting skirting boards etc. This toilet is shared by both sexes, so needs a thorough cleaning every day.
Love the food, price and fantastic, friendly service at Cambridge RH. Eric is best barista in NZ. Love PJ and the other wait staff. A smile is free: thank you.
If you're going to serve margarine with toast, rather than butter, then at least put it on the menu so that customers are informed. Edit: the yellow slop served in a small dish alongside eggs on toast was definitely NOT butter, but rather was margarine.
Horray! A cafe with decent, clean highchairs, baby change facilities, and easy access, with plenty of space for a pushchair, plus a little kids menu. There's a reason this place is always jam-packed and the hustle and bustle of town. Yummy food, great coffee, and good facilities and service. Expect at least a 20-minute wait when busy if you ordering food, which, considering how busy they are, isn't a lot at all, and it is well worth the wait.
Great place! Super friendly staff, took good care of my 86 year old uncle. The bacon brie sandwich thing in the case is amazing, as is the salmon wheel thing.
Robert Harris Te Awamutu is our go too when we are out for a business breaky or brunch. Always provides amazing food and great coffee. Never disappoints. There "Big Breaky" is the best I have had from any cafe with loads of food and a great price at that and their omelets are a very close 2nd. Thanks Robert Harris. Would give 10 Star if I could.
One problem my Wife and I had was with the Cappuccino. It had maybe 2mm of frothed milk on the top of the coffee . That's not good enough. A cappuccino should have close to 1/3 of the cup volume taken up by thick creamy froth. So we won't be back. As we generally spend $20-25 on a cake or scone each and the two coffees and will return perhaps 2-3 times every week, this adds up to a couple of thousand dollars a year...
Delish food. Great variety. Wasn't the best Blueberry Cheesecake I've had though. Our hot dishes came at different times so was a little awkward. Overall I would go at a more quiet time
You are never disappointed here. The service is fantastic. Everyone is always pleasant and helpful. The meals are hot, well presented, and come out quite quickly. This has become the new fav!!! Price wise, like everything else, it is becoming expensive, but well worth spending it here for the odd breakfast out or catch up with a friend.
One of the best Robert Harris Coffee Shops I've been to so far. Food, service, and atmosphere spot on.
