Roast duck was crispy and juicy, mapo tofu packed a tasty kick, and the stir‑fried cabbage was fresh as. Friendly vibes, generous portions — proper good feed. Keen to head back!
It was a very lovely dinner! Nice sweet and sour pork, very yummy kongbao chicken! I will definitely be there again.
The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious, and the owner is very nice. It's perfect with a cup of milk tea. The milk tea shop is right next door.
The Food tasted ok. The portion sizes weren’t great for the price. If you go to any other Chinese restaurant in this town you will get much better portions . The sweet and sour chicken was one third chicken and the remaining 2/3 was carrot/onion . I’m guessing to save money on pricier chicken. If you look at other low reviews you will find people also had issue with portion sizes . I won’t be back
EDITED. Changed the price according to the owner's response. He is correct. I RESERVE ALL MY RIGHTS TO SAY WHATEVER I THINK THE EXPERIENCE IS. Not sure why it is malicious. The chilli oil is good, like I said. ------ Do not recommend at all. This is the only Chinese BBQ place in Rotorua so you can imagine that it is super expensive, and the portion is ridiculously small. Ordered a $19 roasted duck + BBQ pork with rice, it comes with 5 pieces of thin-sliced duck thigh, and 8 slices of pork… And not authentic IMO. The pork stinks. But I have to say, their chilli oil is good.
Came here with family during our trip and had an early dinner here. Service was and good fast but the portions were ridiculous for the price. $18.8 for 2 roast choices on rice and all I got was a few pitiful pieces of ribs and duck and mostly bones. Can't recommend to anyone.
The restaurant is very clean and has the best roast duck in New Zealand,love it!! The service is great and the food we ordered was amazing and inexpensive.Easy to find a parking.
I really enjoyed the braised beef noodle soup - reminds me of home and my mom's cooking. It is hearty and authentic, definitely my go-to meal. Good portion size and delicious! They offer homemade Chinese food as well as sweet beverages- from bubble tea, smoothies to even Frappuccinos! The staff here are so friendly and the indoor seating area is comfortable. Would 100% recommend.
