   Unprofessional Communication and Failure to Follow Up on Quote Request I submitted an online enquiry for a custom glass shower door on 2 October 2025. On 3 October 2025, Stacey Price emailed me asking for a day/time for a measure and quote. I immediately replied by email, asking to be called to arrange this, as I prefer to schedule by phone. As of 7 October 2025, no one has called me to book the measure and quote. A four-day silence after being asked to call the customer is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. This failure to follow up means I will be taking my business elsewhere.

   The service we received from Home Plus was very good. Steve was really friendly and helped us a lot with our decisions on style and colour. Their install team were great and made sure our home was the same as how they found it which I think is very important (not a fan of tradies who leave a mess!). The wardrobe door sliders took a little longer than we had hoped, but the shelving came super quick and we were really impressed. Love the finished job, and would use Home Plus again for sure. Thanks guys!

   I requested a quote for some screen doors from HomePlus Waikato recently. Steve arrived to measure up and was very efficient, obviously knew the products well and had samples with him, so I could see what was available. He showed me the different options, some of which I hadn't even thought of or knew about so I was very happy with his visit. I received the quotes promptly, the next day; he sent three different options which was very helpful. I have dealt with HomePlus before so it was natural for me to call them again, having had good service from them. Steve was very good to deal with, so I would not hesitate in recommending his services to others. Thank you Steve!

   There were pros and cons in our dealings with HomePlus. PROS - the guys that came to install 3 doors were friendly and easy to deal with - they had the ability to overcome a few hurdles with the age of our house and other physical obstacles and found good, tidy solutions - ultimately, the job turned out really well. We were happy in the end but I wasn't always sure we were going to get there CONS - Length of time to complete. I first asked for an estimate in Oct, the job was finally complete in April. Some of it was me not providing the initial measurements and also the Christmas holidays fell over that period so I tried to be as patient as possible. - communication was definitely not the best. There were double ups on workers coming to measure up when another had already been. There were a few other things that made me wonder if the workshop spoke to the ones coming out on site or the office staff. - communication was poor in being sent the invoice in January when only 2 or the 3 doors were installed. Then I was sent an invoice again in Feb when nothing had changed and no one had contacted me to let me know what was going on with the last door. - communication. Whether true or not, I felt as though I was just being given excuses when, if they told me they just hadn't got around to it and why, I would have been fine. It would have been nice to have been kept informed. OVERALL, the job they did was what we wanted and I was impressed with their ability to find solutions as they came across issues but there is a lot of room for improvement in their work processes and communication.

   As with others i wish i had read the reviews before agreeing to have them create a shower return, shower door and and install as part of our bathroom renovations. I was at home during the installation and therefore available for questions. Initial install showed the return height and top spar height did not match and were considerably out, as well as the sealant finish was lumpy and poor. At the time the installer suggested putting more sealant on the top to align the levels, which i declined. Requested they remedy this and unfortunately the second attempt at install only remedied the height issue of the return and top spar. The sealant finish remains poor to the point I will need to remove and re-seal myself and noticed this morning the sealant extends on to the plaster to the right side of the shower so needs cleaned before further prep. (why it would be there is beyond me) and also noted the bottom of the door seal where it meets the shower tray leaks, just as well it will be replaced I guess. Discussed with the owner of the business who refunded the install cost however once the invoice was paid that was the last i heard. Very disappointing experience.
