Great park to coach/practice at. Only one rugby pitch, usually marked up and well kept. When it rains gets a bit mucky.
It's flat, it's green, it's 100% real natural grass. It's big enough for a full-sized rugby pitch with a generous amount of space around it. There are large trees lining the sides, which provide good shelter in both sun and rain (if they are in leaf). However, they do drop a lot of chestnuts in autumn. Although the grass does get quite wet in the rain and can become slippery, this is less of a problem in summer than winter. The park features a playground, which is good for children who respond to more structured physical recreation. There is also a large rubbish bin, which is good for depositing dog poo. There is ample parking on 3 sides of the park, but there is no dedicated disabled parking or entrances. Due to a lack of lighting, Malvern Park works much better as a daytime recreation space than a nighttime one.
The best rugby! It was awesome to see the Crusaders Team training. Great people running for a good cause, "The Long Run". So nice to see a big community give their best to support the ones in need. I can't wait to be there next time!

Great open urban space, bordered by mature trees. A playground and toilets are useful additions.
Always a fun few hours for the kids. Cool wee playground, exercise equipment, a field to run around on and lots of pokemon and pokestops for Pokemon go. Public toilets available too.
The park is at a good and convenient location, but still peace and quiet. Got big lawn for sports game and children can run around. Great to have picnic under the tree too. It has a very nice play ground that all the younger children would enjoy to spend time there. However, the downfall was the toilet. Last time I took my daughter to the toilet, there was a used needle on the ground, not impressed at all.
