Very average selection. Found only one string of green beads in the whole place. However, they do have 2 bins of the sawmill ends yarn bags (400g)
Staff in the sewing department were extremely rude. We spent some time today choosing fabric for a Christmas project. At no point did we bother anyone, and were all quite happy choosing our patterns. Once taking it up to the counter, the women there sighed and grumbled and made the remark that we had taken to long and mucked her around. I asked her what her recommendations on length would be, and quite frankly she didn’t care less. Both women working the sewing counter today were extremely rude, and implied we were wasting there time.
I popped in about 1/4 to 12 yesterday to get some fabric. The young woman on the counter was so helpful - her customer service was great. So bubbly and kind. You need more staff like her.
The day before my wife and I purchased a set of curtains from Spotlight Tauranga for my daughter. Unfortunately we picked the wrong colour which did not suit my daughter's colour scheme. Also the bracket configuration didn't work with the french doors we were trying to hang the curtains along. So on taking them back for a refund we spotted some roll up/down blinds which although $18 more expensive were a great match colour wise. Also the roll up/down blinds the Spotlight staff assured us would work over our French Doors. Of course it was no problem at all getting a Credit and paying the difference at Spotlight check out. My daughter was very happy with the installation of the blinds.
Good range of products, but the staff at the front checkout were not helpful or polite today. The staff at the materials checkouts are very friendly and patient.
One of the few places to go that meets all your sewing needs, great variety and stock to choose from. Fabulous service and help when needed. The specials are appreciated too!
Bought a denim jacket for My Grandaughter for her Birthday. Picked out these iron on transfers. I did end up by catch stitching them in place to be sure they stayed on in the wash. She loved it so much that i bought another jacket for her friends Birthday & did the same but a rainbow & Stars. Thanks spotlight for having such a huge collection to choose from. Two very happy Girls.
Very friendly and fast service. Not a big store compare to stores in other cities so narrower isles to navigate through. It still has everything that a typical Spotlight shop offers. Ample parking spaces out in front but given this is an old shopping centre site, those parking spaces are small and tight. There are other shops/cafe/Fast food in the vicinity so can get all you shopping done in one go. Overall a pleasant shopping experience and will return again. Recommending for others to visit the store.
