I trusted this store because of its good reputation, but my experience has been very disappointing. The service was irresponsible, and I even had to seek help from another organization to sort out my refund. I still can’t understand why the refund was refused even though the item was never delivered or used. I am still in dispute trying to get a refund for an item I never received or used. I sincerely hope the owner will take this matter seriously and work to resolve the issue properly.

I had a very unpleasant and disappointing experience with this store. After sitting on the sofa display model in the showroom, I felt a stinging and itching sensation like a bug bite, so I decided not to proceed with the purchase and cancelled before delivery. However, the store refused to process my refund and even hung up the phone multiple times, completely refusing to communicate. This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour. The seller also claimed that the refund would only be processed once the sofa is resold, which has no legal basis under New Zealand consumer law. According to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, a customer who cancels a non-custom-made purchase before delivery is entitled to a full and immediate refund, regardless of whether the store resells the item or not. Refusing or delaying a refund in this situation is considered an unfair trading practice. It has already been five days since I made the payment, yet no refund or proper response has been provided. If the store fails to resolve this matter promptly, I will proceed with legal action and seek to recover all associated costs through the appropriate consumer protection and dispute resolution channels. I do not recommend this business to anyone who expects honesty, respect, or basic professionalism.
