   After a long day of riding 3 mates and I popped in for the sticky Saturday ribs special and were left a bit disappointed. Pub wasn’t very busy and waited almost 30 mins for ribs and chips which only 3 came out rather cold and they had realised they didn’t cook 4. The staff addressed the problem after another 5 mins and said they would cook the other ones which took at least another 20 mins. A complimentary drink or refund which I asked for would’ve been nice for the situation but staff said whoops sorry. Finally got my ribs and they were average. Eat some dirt darfield hotel.

   Our tv didn’t work, we let staff know and they said they were going to get someone to fix it (never happened), the shub was dangerously high to get in and out of and had no hand/safety was available to assist with getting in and out, there were no bins in the bathroom for feminine rubbish, the 4 point power board for the kettle and toaster wouldn’t work it kept turning off, the hand soap dispenser didn’t work, we weren’t physically shown were our room was had to find it ourselves just given our key and told to go up the stairs. Unfortunately we will never be going back

   Went for dinner. Ordered the rib eye, swapped chips for potatoes and salad. Also the full cod and chips. All in all pretty good. The mushroom sauce though was like warm with barely any mushrooms. Potatoes were good. Lots of them. Blue cod was really good. Better perfect and well seasoned. My steak was a bit chewy for a rib eye. Needed a bit more char and salt. Didn't like how the salad is served in a bowl on the plate. I just emptied the bowl on the plate to eat it. Otherwise service is pretty good. Price point in line for a rural pub.

   Went for dinner, delicious food (I had the chicken and bacon stack, it was excellent, and the roast and burgers are always great). The crew really looked after us, thank you!

   Served an adult roast that was very small for an adult roast and was the same serving size as our kids ones but $11 more. Portion sizes have reduced since our last meal here and the veg was dry and shrivelled. It is no surprise the restaurant is mostly empty. Unfortunately the waitress knew we were right but she checked with the owner who didn’t care. Others at the restaurant thanked me for speaking up as they thought potion sizes were a rip off. We try to support local but we can’t justify returning whilst the pub is under the current ownership. They should stick to serving booze if food is too challenging.
