Good store - no better than any other Bunnings though. Don’t stay more than 3 hours or you’ll get hit with a punishing $85 parking fine. Won’t be back here!!
Pretty disappointing experience at Bunnings Warehouse. I tried to get a faulty Bunnings branded umbrella replaced, but was told they wouldn't do anything without proof of purchase - even though the item literally has their logo on it. The customer service felt unhelpful and inflexible. For a store of this size, I expected much better care and accountability. Not impressed
I went in today with no idea what I was looking for or where to find the wires. Two kind ladies pointed me in the right direction and said someone would be available if I needed more help. When I found the item and tried to get assistance, I saw two staff members in uniform sitting on their phones. Then I went to the outside checkout, where two girls were working. I asked one of them if the cable I picked was strong and flexible enough to hold Christmas lights. The other girl came over and said they’re not allowed to give any advice or recommendations. Honestly, what’s the point? I probably won’t be going back there any time soon for help. I also needed some gardening supplies, but I ended up just buying the wire and walking out.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the wonderful ladies who helped me get my son out of the car. I truly appreciate the way they comforted me and supported me while I was distressed. Even though it wasn’t part of their roles, they stepped in with such kindness, generosity, and calmness during a moment when I was completely panicked. They stayed with me the entire time, reassuring me until roadside assistance arrived and opened the door. Their presence made such a difference, and I am so incredibly thankful for their lovely souls and the compassion they showed during such a stressful moment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Love the store you can buy a lot of choices in here. Has a good playground for kids. Only thing is the public toilets are too small for a big size store like bunnings and everytime I visit here toilets are not cleaned well.
One staff wouldn't listen and didn't identify themselves as a staff member. She was dressed in casual clothes. The rest of the staff were excellent.
This is one the best shops in CHCH to get all your household and garden related items sorted out. Spacious and lot of car parking also available. One feature is you can check your needed item on the online website and select shop, so that it will show were the item is located in the shop floor.
We had a five-star customer service experience from Chris and the Lifestyles team at Bunnings! After a big problem with the new outdoor table we’d saved up for, we reached out and they had everything sorted out in no time. We went home with a great replacement and all the stress removed from the situation - they’ll definitely be our first stop the next time we need to make a big purchase.
This is our local Bunnings. It's always good service. Just purchased some garage shelving and work bench as they have probably the best selection in town.
I was so disappointed in my visit here Thursday evening ( 30/3/2023) between 7-8pm. I went in with a picture my partner provided on a heat gun purely for one thing and that only. I knew what I needed and we were on a budget for it. I went straight to the tools isle and queried this product. Only one young man was working this area, well he was very abrupt and rude, talking down about the product and trying hard to convince we to buy another more expensive one I stated it was only for one quick project, he responded with he will get it off the shelf, but don't bring it back if it breaks. Now I'm sure the bunnings policy is if it breaks for a reason you can't help, bring it back for a replacement is it not? This man had me feeling upset and uncomfortable I was very dissatisfied.
