Purchased an extractor unit which was faulty out the box. Returned this in exchange for another which I picked up from their warehouse, box had been opened and all the protective wrap taken off the steel (alarm bells ringing). Plugged in and was also faulty, motor totally detached from the unit inside. Returned this unit. Ordered a Bosch one, expecting it to arrive in under a week as it was apparently coming into stock with their supplier. Chased this up after several days and I was then told it would take a month and I could have a refund. Asked for the refund and purchased a Bunnings unit with a nicer LED touch display for $350 ($150) cheaper and it was the exact same base unit as the first two that were broken! I wasn’t going to leave this review but I am still out of pocket waiting for my refund that is now over 1 week overdue from when they said I would receive it. I paid for the first faulty unit on January 6th and it’s now 23rd January and I’m still waiting. Would not recommend this shop to anyone. Absolute time wasters. Attached photos of the second opened and previously installed unit that was broken they tried to sell me.
While Kitchen Things has a wide range of appliances and brands to view, what stands out for me are the fantastic staff. Knowledgeable, professional, great attitude, friendly, but most of all, patient! Thanks to all involved in the purchase of a new oven for my 89-year old mother-in-law. You turned what could have been a stressful experience into a really pleasant, even fun, couple of hours. Well done!
Carolyn made our horrible situation better right away. Our hob was smashed and she ordered us a new one in minutes, clearly explaining the installation process and how much it would cost. Before that, I was trying to order new glass only and faced a wait of 3 months minimum from AU, so I was extremely relieved that she was able to help us get it sorted quickly.
Amazing store and customer service!!! We had Jordan Moss assist us with our new purchase of Smeg Freestanding Oven with Gas cooktop. -Edit- Kitchen and Things have agreed to replace the appliance, so I have changed the rating from one to four stars because it wasn't without fuss. However, the phone call and apology made up for the frustration. ------ Sales people are helpful but the delivered a damaged appliance and then refused to remedy the issue. Overall experience has been terrible which is fairly bitter given you're paying a premium for european appliance and I expected a better service as a result. Make sure that you're home at the time of delivery to inspect the appliance, or purchase elsewhere from someone that supports their customers.
