   Terrible experience as a customer. I found the owner to be extremely rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to communicate professionally. Any concerns I raised were brushed off rather than addressed, which was incredibly frustrating. There was also a complete lack of respect shown, including signage being put up on property that does not belong to her and without permission. The whole situation felt careless and unprofessional. I would not recommend this business to anyone. If you’re looking for decent customer service and someone who treats customers with respect, look elsewhere.

   This was a lucky find during our short port visit. The beautiful designs and wide range of jewellery in sterling silver, paua, green stone, pearls and semi-precious stones by owner and artist Michelle and other local artists were a delight. Michelle was knowledgeable and friendly, and with her help our Secret Santa list was sorted, as was selections for momentos and souveniers for our trip. Thank you!

   As my sister and I were passing by this store today, I caught a glimpse of a lovely pair of gold starfish earrings. Well of course we had to go inside and were both amazed by the wide range of jewellery on display. Some unique pieces took our fancy, as did the sale prices on many items. The lovely owner, Michelle, advised us that many of the items in the store were her own design. Of course I came away with my pair of gold starfish earrings and my sister purchased a pair of earrings as well. We will definitely both be popping in to this store on a regular basis in future.

   Awa Designs is amazing to deal with - so kind and professional and helpful to ensure you find just that right piece for you! They have the most beautiful jewellery of which I have several pieces that I have collected over the years. Would not hesitate to recommend them and they have just moved into a beautiful new larger shop at the Mount. Make sure you check them out when visiting the Mount or if you are from the BOP - remember to shop local and support this lovely local business.
