Sorry but if you are going to an event and these guys are there surviving DO NOT waste your time. Over an hour wait for two Souvlaki’s and their ordering system is crap People who order well after you get their food before you. Their food hygiene standards are poor, no gloves using the same hands as the use for cash handling with out washing or sanitising. This was a school event and my wife missed most of it waiting for food. Terrible service and no apology.

love coming here! always tastes amazing - especially the sauces! unfortunately, on Friday night toward the end of consuming one of our souvlakis, we found a coarse black hair embedded inside - which we presume to be from the beard of the lovely gentleman who was cooking. This won’t deter us from returning, however maybe a review of the hygeine processes could be in order!

Decent food, service was good, shop was clean and tidy, prices reasonable. Regular chicken souvlaki was perfect for lunch.

It's a superb place to get a Greek souvalakis. The flavour was awesome, and the size was very filling. We'll priced and parking is reasonably easy.

First impressions- the shop is clean, tidy and has a calm atmosphere. 2 local men sat at a table playing chess while eating their meal. The staff were warm & friendly, attentive & happy to accommodate a specific request with the filling of my souvlaki. The souvlaki itself was generous, great value for money. I paid $18 for a double chicken souvlaki. The salads were fresh, the meat was delicious (larger chunks versus the typical smaller cuts), with generous portions of sauce too (which most places skimp on!). Carefully wrapped & packaged with no leaks. Tbh this was one of my favourite souvlakis I’ve ever had, I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

I ordered a Souvlaki NOT SOUP! Disgusting!!!! I thought based on the reviews that this place would be good but I was so wrong. The sauce is more like water it is so runny. The bread had a gross flavour to it and the Tzatziki sauce tasted more like just a garlic water. I was so disappointed in the flavours. One of the worst I have had in the city. The sauce was more like soup and drowned what little salad there was making the bread go soggy that I ended up throwing away half of it as it had turned to mush which is so unlike me as I normally would have finished it off. Will never go here again and instead will go back to Dimitris Greek Food who are the real kings of Souvlaki in this city.

Oh, here we go again – yet another shop that used to be a true gem, filled with genuine and soulful food, only to be taken over by new owners who seem to have little regard for its essence. It's disheartening to witness a once-authentic place lose its charm and character in the hands of new management. I couldn't help but feel disappointed when I visited Mythos, now seemingly run by Indians. While I appreciate cultural diversity and respect for different cuisines, it's hard not to question the authenticity of the experience when such a significant shift occurs. I have watched this occur throughout the city, and this will be no exception. Watch all of your loved foods taken over by greed. The heart and soul that used to be poured into the food seem to have vanished, replaced by what can only be described as a bland, mass-produced imitation of the original. In the past, this place would fill your senses with the enticing aromas of carefully crafted dishes, made with love and passion. Now, it seems like any other generic souvlaki shop you can find around Christchurch, offering the same mediocre fare that lacks the distinctive flavours and care that once made it stand out. Reading their Facebook page, the previous owners have attempted to guide the new ownership on how to deliver the flavours we loved, and the disregard from the new owners shows how much they care about the customer, and how much more they care about MONEY. I am also anticipating an influx of 5 star reviews from INDIANS. For those who cherished the original shop's unique offerings, prepare to be let down by the transformation. Instead, you'll find yourself settling for a forgettable meal that fails to capture the essence of what once made this place extraordinary.

I will never be returning. This used to be me and my family’s favorite Greek restaurant. So sad you have lost 4 customers at least. Souvlakis used to take at least half and hour to make but now it’s quick and terrible. The lack of passion is shown in the quality and quantity of the food. I could go on but this is only the half of it. So disappointing. Better value and quality at Mc Donald’s
